June '24- Week 3- McKenna FSY Pics, Jennee Maday's Wedding, Father's Day, Lloyd Newell's last Broadcast, Bethany This is the Place, WX City Camps and Swim lessons, Bee's Game, Dan hike with three girls, Dan tour BYU,

th- Saturday: I got up and ran. McKenna got home from FSY the same time I got home. She woke up the girls and showed them all her pictures. We ate and then I helped the girls finish going through their clothes. McKenna unpacked and did laundry. The girls played school. I showered. They worked on Father’s Day stuff for grandpas. Dan and Ben got home from Mantua.  We had lunch. I took Alice to the store to get a gift for a friend’s birthday. We hurried home for Billy Alexander’s baptism!  Anna had a stomach ache and went to the bathroom several times. We dropped the kids off at home and then went to Jennee Maday and Ty’s wedding at Eldridge manner. We picked up Greg and Mindi Remington on our way. It was fun to chat with them. The ceremony was beautiful. We had dinner there as well. We sat at the same table and Jennee’s hairdresser, Kim. She was so nice and friendly. We enjoyed getting to know them and their story of getting guardianship of a boy when he was 14, who now played basketball internationally.  We went to the ward ice cream social afterwards. I chatted mostly with Amy Pugsley and Cari Moss and Sarah Moulton.  The girls had their showers and went to bed. I practiced my music one more time.

th- Sunday: Father’s Day! I made it on time to choir and didn’t forget the time this week! I was pretty emotional  about it being Lloyd Newell’s last Sunday during the run through. It was a beautiful program and farewell. Pres. Oakes and Bishop Causse were both there. It was my turn to turn in music, so I did not make it back to 5th ward for the Sacrament. I picked the kids up from church. Dan stayed after for a bit to talk with someone who needed advice. I ate a quick lunch and then went to take the sacrament in the 6th ward. I got dinner going in the crock pot at home. We watched our videos and did our tender mercies poster and gave Dan his gifts! Dan and I napped. I went over my music for the next week. We got on the Nelson family zoom for Father's Day. It was lovely to hear everyone’s memories and what they love about Grandfather. It went on so long, we ended up eating while the call was still going on.  Grandfather has such a good memory! He chimed in many times and said what he remembered. After dinner, we headed to Layton to visit my dad. Then we visited with Grandpa Webster. I’m so thankful to have such wonderful father’s in my life!  On the zoom call, Wendy gave a little “talk” about how if we feel driven or a desire to do basically anything good, we’re taking after Grandfather’s footsteps. Once we got home and got kids to bed, we calendared.

th- Monday: I went walking with Dan. I got the girls ready for their first day of WX City Summer camps.  Anna did running club, and Bethany and Alice did track and field games. I waited in the car and worked on some texts. I hurried and took Bethany to the church so she could go with her Activity Day group to This is The Place.  I took Alice to swim lessons and Anna watched. Lucinda Wade was there too. Once we got home, I showered and worked on Dan’s calendar. McKenna went to Caroline’s.  We had lunch and I took the kids to their dentist appointment. Ben got his canines pulled, Alice got her sealants on her 6 year molars, and there were no cavities!  I finished Dan’s calendar and took the girls to gymnastics. I had to stop by the store after that. Ben went mountain biking.  After dinner, I folded laundry and went to book club at Sarah Moulton’s.  We discussed Sheri Dew’s “Women and the Priesthood” and the small book about Polygamy.  One of my takeaways was that with both issues, a woman’s personality plays a large role into whether or not they take “issue with” or are offended by it.  Some people are fine with polygamy. And some women are fine with not needing priesthood keys and authority.  I also came away feeling grateful I’m a woman and love what the Lord has blessed me with!

th- Tuesday: I went for a run and woke the three girls up to get ready for their camps. It was quite chilly in the morning. I stayed in the car and worked on music. I got Bethany and Anna to piano. I took Alice to swim lessons and talked with Lucinda Wade. We got home and I got dinner going on the crockpot and switched Ben and McKenna at Piano. We had lunch. I showered. McKenna went to Tunnel Springs Park with school friends. *My mom had an oral surgery to remove her torei. Desi came over to hang out. I napped then went to the DMV to renew my drivers license. It was fast and easy, but I got a terrible picture taken!  I worked more on music. I took dinner to the Hornes since they had their new baby. We ate at home and then went to see the new Inside Out movie.  It was super cute and clever.  Anna went later with the Alexanders.

th- Wednesday: Dan and I went walking. I got the three girls ready for camp. I worked on music and did my make-up in the car. I took the girls to grandma camp and then Alice to swim lessons. Dan and I took the van in for an oil change. We went to the Bee’s baseball game. The weather was perfect. I even got a little sleepy towards the end and may have dozed off. The Bees won too!  The also saw the Chadwick’s were there too. We got home and napped. Bethany showed me her obstacle course she made outside and their forts they made in the basement.  Anna left for her BD date with Dan’s parents. I made dinner. We ate and Ben left for his YM’s hike. We went outside to weed. Dan placed more solar lights in the flowerbeds and hedged the front bushes.  The girls took showers. I got them to bed while Dan went to his parents’ to help them with some stuff. We had a family call to talk about the Alaska cruise. Ben got home pretty late from the hike to elephant rock.

th- Thursday: I went running and got the girls ready for camps. I worked on music in the car once we got there. The girls had fun on their last day and played at the park a little before we left.  We went straight to Alice’s swim lesson. She worked a little on diving.  We picked up McKenna and Ben, then Whitney and Hazel. We took the Winegar’s to Swa’s hair appt. then we went to get Keva and Great Harvest for lunch. I took the van to Burt Bros for them to check the tire pressure. Unfortunately, another sensor came on once he fixed the tire pressure sensor. The kids emptied dishes and did their piano. I showered and then napped. I worked on a grocery order and went through May pictures. I also blogged the first week in April. Anna and Bethany went for a walk. McKenna read and napped outside. I made dinner and Dan came home in time to take Ben and the three girls up to mountain biking. Dan hiked with the girls, and they had a great time.  I ate with McKenna and then took her to Maddie’s on my way to Choir.  The new spoken work guy, Derrick Porter, was there with his wife. He read part of the introduction to the hymnbook to us and said he has only felt calm and peaceful during this transition.

st- Friday: I went walking with Rachael.  We dropped the van off at Burt Bros. The kids ate and I did a little Come Follow Me. Alice slept in the longest! I took Ben to his trombone lesson. I took Anna to the dollar store to shop for her birthday party. We had lunch. I helped McKenna with some drivers ed stuff, then napped. Brooklyn and Zaza came over to play. I left for the temple to do sealings at 4:30. Dan got to go on a tour of the BYU sports facilities. We both got home around 6:40. We ate and cleaned up the house, especially the basement. We got set up for an outdoor movie, Kung Fu Panda 4!  We had the Alexanders, Nelsons, Chadwicks, Jensens, Grey Yamamoto, Ben’s friend Peter, Bethany’s friend Lucy. We had some trouble with the speaker connecting, so we put the microphone up to Dan’s computer speakers. McKenna went to Farmington station with Meghan Hunter and Bridget, then watched a movie at Moulton's.
