15th- Wednesday: I subbed in Ms. Higginson’s class. The kids were pretty good! We had a funny incident where a spider dropped down from the ceiling onto a kid’s desk! The students killed it. The girls had piano and I napped hard when we got home. The girls worked on writing their thank you pages for their teachers. Alice also took a nap on me. McKenna went to a track party and got an award as the Distance MVP for South Davis!! I was late dropping Ben off for the youth activity which was the Layton Temple Open House, but I'm thankful he made it! Desi came over. We ate and then went to McKenna’s choir concert which was all Disney songs! So fun! The two little girls showered and we got kids to bed. I worked on a menu for next week and talked with McKenna some. Dan did some work.
16th- Thursday: I exercised, ate, and showered. I cleaned up a bit and Emmy Johnson came over from 11-1:30. She didn’t want to go to the plant nursery with Meghan while she shopped. She played and I worked on a grocery order. We had lunch together and then her mom came to get her. I finished the grocery order, napped, and worked on music. I also FaceTimed my mom to talk about the t-shirts for our trip. I got Ben to baseball and then came home and made dinner. McKenna stayed home to study, and the rest of us girls went to Ben’s game. Dan had a work event in Lehi. My parents and Mickelle came to the game, which was nice because I had to leave for choir, so they could bring all the kids home. Choir was fun and still a little overwhelming. But the recordings I got on Monday from Carrie were so helpful!!
17th- Friday: When we arrived at school, everyone was being held in the gym because of a possible gas leak and the fire department was there checking things out. After the all clear, I subbed in first grade as Mrs. Voss’s instructor. After lunch and recess duty, I went to the Jr. High for a bit. I subbed in Ms. Belz class. Dan met me at school and we watched Anna’s Shakespeare play, Macbeth. Bethany also had her Colonial Culminating Activity. They did so great! I finished the day back in Ms. Voss’s. Once we got home, I took Anna to Oakley’s house. McKenna mowed and Ben edged. Eve and Rose West came over so Mariana could focus on packing. They played and ate dinner with us so great! Dan took Ben to Eli’s house to hang out with cousins. After the West girls left, we played outside. We walked to grandma and grandpa's house. They gave us ice cream and candy.
18th- Saturday: We ate and left for Layton to help my parents with some yard and basement clean up. We filled the trailer full to take to the dump. We had chick fil a for lunch and I'm grateful the weather was lovely! We picked up groceries and Alice picked out a BD gift for a friend. I took her to Illyana’s party. It was Barbie themed and so cute! Bethany played with the Moulton girls. Anna and Ben went with Dan to wash the van and fill it up. Adrie came over and hung out with McKenna. I chilled and tried to nap. Caroline also came over to get ready to go to the school dance with McKenna. Dan and I went to the Pugsley’s for an Elder’s Quorum pizza activity. They made their homemade pizza and it was amazing! We loved chatting with friends and neighbors! We got to see the Cole’s pickleball court afterwards too. We got the kids to bed and watched the Mother’s Day Sacrament meeting that we missed. We talked a little with McKenna once she got home and then we went to bed. Most of our kids said helping my parents was their sweet for the day! I’m grateful for their hard work!
19th- Sunday: The broadcast went well! I felt more prepared for this one than others. Maybe because I had better recordings from Carrie, maybe because the songs were easier. Who knows? I made it back barely in time for the sacrament in the 5th ward and then picked up McKenna from Maddie’s ward, where she had sung "Come Thou Fount" again with Maddie and Caroline. We had lunch and watched the broadcast once we got home. We had a family meeting about making Summer plans and also about who the kids wanted to babysit them while we’re on our cruise to Alaska. We napped, I had my family call, then Dan and Ben and I hung out on the back patio for a bit. We had leftover Pugsley Pizza for dinner. We watched our come follow me videos. We went to Dan’s parents to hang out and play games. Once we got kids to bed, we watched a quick YouTube video of the pastor who came to the Tab Choir rehearsal a little bit ago. I sang through my new songs for the week. Dan and Ben watched a show about shipwrecks and stuff at the bottom of the ocean.
20th- Monday: I subbed all over the place. I started as Ms. Voss’s instructor and did a reading group then recess duty. Then I went to Ms. A’s briefly. I went back to Ms. Voss’s and then had lunch. I did Ms. Zeil’s and Ms. Saxton at the Jr. High. I ended the day in the office. At home, I changed laundry and started going through Alice’s clothes once we got home. I took the three girls to gymnastics and started making dinner. McKenna went for a run. I listened to my choir songs. Carrie sent me her recordings again! We all ate and then folded laundry. Dad and Ben lifted weights. We talked with Kenna about what to do about her phone glitching. *Anna turned in a book report project about Land of Stories.
21st- Tuesday: I exercised, ate, then ran to the school real quick to tell Ms. Saxton about some inappropriate behavior in her class yesterday. I showered and listened to the BOM chapters this week. I napped and then worked on an Instagram post and the blog a little. I ate and then made pictures collages for April. The kids got home except for Anna. She went home with Claire. Alice showed me her papers. We had leftovers for dinner. Dan took McKenna to her honors awards night at WX. I took the three girls to the Spring Concert at LPA. Ben went to a mountain biking class. We got courtesy cones on the way home. Anna showered and I started working on patching and mending some clothes. We got the girls to bed and I did more mending. I sang through my songs once before bed.
