nd- Saturday: I drove McKenna out to the Legacy trail by 7 to run with the cross country team. The rest of us ate and then cleaned the church building at 8. We got home at 9:15 and I picked up groceries. I listened to my choir music a lot. After we put groceries and dishes away, I divided the meat. I left to take Ben and McKenna and Caroline to the Bountiful Museum to record little videos to be put on QR codes in shops along Main Street. Sandy Inman was behind this project to help people learn about the history of Main Street. I left and stopped at the West’s on the way home, where Dan had just dropped off Jagger West returning from his mission! I came home and ate lunch with the girls. We took Alice to Oakley’s birthday party and picked up the van from Burt Bros. Thankfully, the diagnostic they ran showed nothing was wrong with it! I got gas and then picked up the kids at the Bountiful museum. Dan tried to fix the broken dishwasher door, but found out it was a different part than we originally thought was broken. I tried to nap before picking up Alice from the party. She had a great time with lots of school friends. I showered. Dan took McKenna out driving. I worked on last minute tidying up in the kitchen and family room. Dan and I went on his birthday date with his parents. We ate at Santorini and then shopped at Nordstrom, REI, Nike, and Carhart. Ben went to the last film club meeting where they watched their videos. McKenna fed the girls and then last went out with friends. Desi was over most of the night too. I cleaned up a little more, and the Wests came over to help set up tables and chairs for us to host Jaggar's homecoming the next day.
rd- Sunday: I woke up at 4 because of a sore foot, busy brain, birds chirping, and Bethany came in having an "itchy waist." I sang in the broadcast, which was Derrick Porter’s first! I totally felt emotional when he said at the end, “On behalf of the Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, we thank you for coming.” I’m still so excited and in awe that I get to be a part of this! I took the sacrament in 5th ward, then I took the kids home. Dan was already at home hosting Jaggar West’s homecoming brunch! We ate and visited with neighbors. We watched our videos then napped. I had my call, and Dan prepped for hosting his family for dinner. They all came around 4:30/5. We ate and celebrated June and July birthdays! The kids all helped clean up when we were done. Dan and I calendared. *I’m so grateful to have a house full of people I love!
th- Monday: I exercised in the gym. I ate with the girls and did Come Follow Me. I wrote a list of things for the kids to do. I took Alice to swim lessons, we went to Smith’s, and then we went to Burt Bros one last time for them to fix the tire pressure sensor. We had lunch and then I showered. I went to Dr. Cope’s for my thyroid check and got blood work done. Ellie, Hazel, and Adrie came over to hang out. I worked on music and napped when I got home. I prepped fruit and then took the girls to gymnastics. I delivered some flowers to Amanda and Rachael. We went to the Winegar’s for a swim night. We had tacos there for dinner. Ben and Ollie went to mountain biking practice at Wild Rose. Dan worked late and didn’t make it till 8. It was so lovely spending the evening together again with the Webster side. We folded laundry when we got home.
th- Tuesday: Dan and I went walking. I drove McKenna and friends to work. I ate with the kids and made sloppy joes. I took Alice to swim lessons. The four older kids had piano. We had lunch and got packed for Anna’s party at Mantua. Dan was on a work call for the drive, but we got there around 2:40. We got everything set up. The girls had a great time swimming. They were a relatively calm group of girls. I alternated between watching them swim and decorating. Dan’s parents were up there too and working more on getting the tiny house moved into place. The girls got out of the pool around 5. We ate and then played games: pull a string for a prize, musical spoons, and post it note pull/tag. We had ice cream cake and then some of the girls swam some more. Dan also did do some work up there. McKenna laid out. Ben played video games. I was very grateful both Bethany and Alice were welcomed by the big girls! We cleaned up and left by 8:15. We took all the girls home and filled up the van. We unpacked and got everyone to bed after 10. I decorated for Anna’s actual birthday.
th- Wednesday: Anna’s 11th birthday! I exercised and got everyone up by 9:15. We ate and then I took Alice to swim lessons. I’ve enjoyed talking with Lucinda Wade at the pool everyday. Once we got home, I took Ben to his trombone lesson. I stayed in the car and listened to my choir music and even napped a little. Once we got home, I showered and then we all had lunch. I also made the pasta salad for dinner. I took the younger 4 to Layton to visit with Grandma and Pickle. McKenna stayed home to work on drivers ed. My mom bought doughnuts for Anna. We got home at 5, in time for Meghan Johnson to borrow our van. I took Bethany to Lucy’s so she could go to Get Air with their family. I got on a zero fatalities Zoom call with McKenna for drivers ed. We ate dinner. Ben went to young men’s which was baptisms at the temple. McKenna went to Katie brown’s for YW. Dan and I took the A-Team to ice cream and then watched “IF.” I worked on choir music while Dan ironed.
th- Thursday: Dan and I went walking. I practiced music, then I ate with Bethany. Mia came over. The other kids ate. I started mopping. I took Alice to her last day of swim lessons. They played games and she jumped off the diving board twice! She changed when we got home and I took all the kids except McKenna to Main Street to see the chalk art! We had lunch when we got home. I showered and then took McKenna to a voice lesson with Jenni. Ben left for camping at Pineview with the Winegars. I worked on a grocery order while I waited. We picked up meds for Sadie at the vet. I finished mopping and vacuuming when we got home. I sat for a few then started on dinner. I finished the grocery order and ate with the girls. I left for choir. Leanna Wilmore, from our stake, was recognized for her many years of service to the Bells Choir at Temple Square over the years. Dan helped the girls pack for camping. We worked on the dishwasher once we got home. It took a while, but Dan figured it out and fixed the door!
th- Friday: Dan and I went to the temple for an endowment session. I was so sleepy! We had lunch and finished packing for camping at Pineview! We left at 1 and McKenna went boating with Lia and some Backstage friends. They went to Willard and we picked her up later to join us. *She got up surfing with them! We set up camp and got ready to go boating. The kids tubed but it was too choppy to go surfing. Ben’s swim suit ripped because it was so old. :) We got off the water around 4:45. We helped Sam get the fried rice ready for dinner. Some people went back out on the boat after we ate. Jake and Abril’s fam, Adam, Sam and Lara, and Winegars we’re all here! We hung out and played games, and enjoyed smores by the fire. We had got to bed by about 10:30. The road was quite noisy next to our campsite, but we slept decent.
th- Saturday: We woke up around 8. I fed Sophie yogurt while Sam made breakfast burritos. Lara was sick. We all ate and cleaned up camp. We burned Ben's old swim suit. We left by 10:30. We tried to pick up groceries but it took too long, so we left and I went back later. We unloaded and unpacked the van when we got home. I got the kids ready to leave with Dan. They went to the Smith’s ballpark for a foster care event. They got to help with a service project, eat concessions, and even get up to bat and run the bases! Dan said it was very hot but the kids loved it and were helpful! It was also Dan's dream come true to "play" on the field! I picked up groceries and stopped by Costco. I showered and took a quick nap. McKenna left to go babysitting for the Nelsons. Mickelle picked me up and we went to the New Kids on the Block concert! It was hot at first, but once the sun went down it was perfect! I loved dancing and had a great time hearing the old stuff!
th- Sunday: I hung up birthday banners for Dan before I left for Choir. We had a soloist at the broadcast named Amy Manford. She sang “Climb Every Mountian” and it was beautiful! I went to 5th ward Scarament and caught the last 10mins of a combined 5th Sunday lesson in our ward. We watched the broadcast when we got home. We had lunch and watched Come Follow Me videos. We gave Dan his presents and then took a nap. I had my family call and found out mom fell and didn’t really remember what happened. Not good. Thankfully she wasn't too injured. I made Dan’s birthday dinner! We played games after dinner. I was so sleepy! Once the kids were in bed, Dan helped McKenna pack for backpacking.
