th- Wednesday: I exercised, ate, showered, and went to the school to volunteer. I volunteered in Alice's class teaching about South America for their Continents activity! Then I went to Bethany’s class to do JA again. Once the girls were at piano, I ate a late lunch and napped. I started prepped JA for Thursday. I picked up Ben, then McKenna, then took Alice to gymnastics. McKenna ate early and went to YWs to sew bags for girls camp. The rest of us ate and the kids played outside some before showers. I finished prepping JA and helped Anna with her book report. I also worked on a grocery order.
th- Thursday: I subbed in Ms. Enquist’s class as her instructor. I did two reading groups and a math group. All the teachers got to go to lunch at the same time for teacher appreciation and enjoy and catered lunch from Olive Garden. I taught two more lessons of JA to Bethany’s class. These lessons were more fun and engaging. I came home and napped. The kids got home. I helped Anna with her book report. Bethany had activity days. McKenna had her last track practice for the District Meet. We ate a quick dinner before McKenna and Ben went to the Special Needs Mutual dinner and the rest of us went to Alice’s Let’s Play music showcase. My parents also came to support her! We had our first choir rehearsal in the Conference Center. I liked the sound better in there than the Tabernacle. My seat neighbor was very helpful once again and helped me record some good “tape in times” for me to practice with later. I talked with Dan once I got home.
th- Friday: I subbed as Ms. Enquist’s instructor again. I grabbed some snacks in the teachers’ lounge and chatted with a few teachers before I left at the half day mark. I got home and then went to ladies lunch! It was fun to see those sisters who I haven’t seen in a while! Dan came and got me and we went to McKenna’s district track meet. She ran the mile in 5:53 and got a new PR! She also went from being 14th/16 to finishing 12th/16!! The spike shoes she wore gave her big blisters, so I think that affected her speed because she was in a bit of pain. But she was very proud of herself and we were so proud of her too!! We got home around 3:30. The younger 4 all went to the Winegar’s to play and hang out. I napped and Dan did some work. McKenna babysat for the Mudrows till really late. The rest of us had pizza in the car and went to Alice’s make up soccer game. It was cold and windy, but Alice kicked the ball 9 times! We got the kids to bed and Dan and I watched half of the Barbie movie. *Apparently, there were northern lights visible in Utah, but it was at 1am and we missed it.
th- Saturday: We slept in till 7:30 when Alice came in. She went on a walk with Dan and I. We ate. I cleaned up a little. Dan took Ben to film club, Anna to Claire’s, and picked up groceries. I showered and then went to a baby shower for Emily and Doug Horne. Dan took down Christmas lights. The kids played outside. I made our German pancakes for my Mother’s Day dinner. I listened to my songs a lot! McKenna did homework. We attended the Taylorsville Temple open house! The kids had leftovers for dinner. Dan and I went to In N Out for dinner. I got the girls to bed and I scrolled on my phone.
th- Sunday: Dan surprised me and brought the kids down to the broadcast for Mother’s Day! That was a sweet gesture! I got to meet them outside afterwards. We hurried and made it in time for the 5th ward’s sacrament. Then we caught the last ten minutes of our classes. The RS was having treats and socializing. Once we got home, Jaron Hamblin stopped by! He got home from his mission the day before. We watched the broadcast and had lunch. The kids gave me their sweet homemade gifts! Dan and I napped. I had my family call. We finished getting dinner ready. Dan and the kids cleaned up the back patio and set up dinner out back! The weather was perfect, and Adam also came over to eat with us. We left to visit my mom and hung out for a bit from 7-8:15. We got the kids to bed but Bethany had to stay up late to finish her book report.
th- Monday: I subbed in Alice’s class as Ms. Loose. We had a pretty good day! The last part of the day we did a butterfly release, chalk, and bubbles outside! Once we got home, I chilled for a bit. I got laundry going and then dinner. I took the three girls to gymnastics, now they’re all on the same night! Ben went to Caleb Arnold’s house. McKenna worked on homework. After we ate dinner, we folded laundry and I cleaned the kitchen some. Dan went to his parents to see if he could get the bottom of their shower looking any better. Cleaning ladies came on Saturday to their house, but the shower didn’t look totally done. We got the girls to bed and I practiced music. I got recordings from another Alto 2 which was so so helpful!! Dan and Ben lifted and bought V-bucks on Fortnite.
th- Tuesday: I had a headache so I had to eat before I exercised, and because of that, I had a side ache. I moved pictures from Dropbox to the hard drive. I also uploaded videos to YouTube to free up space on my phone. I showered, napped, and ate. I picked up Dan’s parents from the airport. I worked on music and napped again. I did the Junior Achievement survey and kids got home. I took Ben to baseball practice. I made dinner. McKenna rode the bus home with Caroline and then went for a run. Dan picked her up and we all ate. Dan took all the girls to Alice’s last soccer game. I went to Ben’s orchestra concert. My parents were able to stop by both. Ben was funny and told us not to go to his concert because he said it would be boring. I’m grateful my kids are developing their talents and haiku fun! I worked on music after the girls were in bed. Dan bought our Bees baseball tickets for the Summer!
