July '19- Week 3- Bethany's 4th BD, Old Faces, Dan's High Adventure, Hokulia Luau, Webster Family Dinner,

Monday was Bethany's 4th BD.  McKenna and Ben had their first day at Mary Poppins rehearsal.  We had Ellie and Clara over to play for Bethany.  I worked on a personal history story and looked at baby pictures of Bethany.  We had Del Taco for dinner (her request) and opened presents and had ice cream.  We watched the Pirate Fairy (Tinkerbell) movie while folding laundry.  :)  Dan got a haircut and packed that night for the Priests' high adventure.

Tuesday I had an early dentist appointment.  After that, while M and B were at Mary Poppins, we had a slow morning and watched a Barbie show.  After lunch we went to the Personal History story class then ran some errands to the dance studio and cabinet place.  We played outside after dinner with bikes and the swings.

Wednesday Dan left early for the High Adventure.  Ivy and Emi came to play and had a tea party.  After lunch we went swimming at Eli Forbes' neighborhood pool.  McKenna went to a Bees baseball game that night with Lia.  We took dinner to Meghan Johnson and family who just had a baby.

Apricots smeared all over. :)
Messing around with the "old face" app.  Alice's cracks us up so much!  And we think Bethany's looks like my mom. :)
Thursday I went on ministering visits to Shelly and Janel's.  Jordan came to play with Ben after lunch. We watched the old Mary Poppins to help McKenna and Ben practice their accents a little.  It was kind of a rough night with everyone missing Dan.  The kids had a sleepover in McKenna and Anna's room.

Friday my old roommate Katie stopped by to say hi with her husband Kevin and two of her kids.  It's always so good to see old friends and catch up! We bought tickets for Mary Poppins that afternoon after rehearsal and I worked on editing pictures.  After dinner we had otter pops and played on the swings outside.  I took a picture of Bethany's darling little people she draws.  Also, Ben took pictures of his LEGO General Grievous and his finger vampire.  :)  After kids were in bed (having another sleepover), I called my mom to get some family history stories about our ancestors who lived in Nauvoo.

Saturday I ran 3 miles and felt good.  We babysat the Jaynes kids so Shelly could go to a funeral for her cousins daughter.  Dan got home from the high adventure!  We did the usual grocery pick up, looked at Dan's pictures from the camping trip, and had pizza for dinner.

That night, we went to the Hokulia Luau and the kids loved dancing and meeting Moana!
Sunday we did Pioneer songs in Primary.  We watched Random Acts and then hosted the Webster family dinner at the church.  We had Sloppy Joes and celebrated the July BDs (missing Mia).  Bethany was given a rainbow, butterfly, unicorn, kitty!  We also talked about the Nauvoo trip coming up! The kids loved being able to play in the church gym!  We also got these adorable pictures of Alice.  She's learned to climb on the piano chair and she still often sleeps with her bum in the air.

July '19- Week 2- Free Chick Fil A and Slurpee, Outdoor Movie, Splash Pad, Mary Poppins, 10K Race, Bethany BD Date with Dad,

Monday I ran three miles and had my fastest mile time yet- 8:40!  Anna had dance and Autumn Cundick came over to visit.  After lunch, McKenna and Ben had their Mary Poppins Auditions at Backstage! They both did so well!  We came home and Bethany spread out all her preschool papers. :)  We had a quick dinner, then I took Ben and McKenna back to Backstage for the dance call and call backs.  Dan had fun playing with the three little girls.  I hung out at the studio and wasted time on my phone.

Ben had a fun dress up session/photo shoot.
Tuesday I went walking with Dan and Anna had dance.  After lunch, Ben and Anna played at the Alexander's and McKenna and Brittana babysat at Sam and Lara's.  I had my personal history story class and then Arlee came over to play with Bethany.  Anna came home sad because she got stung by  a bee but she recovered quickly.  Everyone took a rest in the afternoon and then we put on our cow spots and headed to Chick Fil A for free dinner.  :)  We only had to wait 36 mins in line, start to finish.  After dinner, we hung out outside for a bit and I played peekaboo with Alice.

We hosted another outdoor movie night and watched "Ralph Breaks the Internet."  This time, about 33 people came.
Wednesday I ran two miles on some painful calluses, which cause a bit of a sore foot since I was running weird.  Anna had dance and the rest of us went to the $1 movie which was "Sherlock Gnomes."  The afternoon was normal and that evening McKenna went to McKinley Ulmer's BD pool party at the Novak's and Ben went to a movie night at the Lewis's.

Thursday we had a normal morning at home while Anna was at Dance.  After lunch, we got free Slurpees for 7/11 day!  Lizzie and Lia came over for play dates in the afternoon and there was a little fighting going on. :(  I tried to do a little Nauvoo research and that night was another outdoor ward game night.  Anna had a movie night at her dance studio as well.  Also pictured is McKenna trying to "face painting" with some face crayons.  Anna is a puppy, and Ben got a caterpillar.
Friday I went walking with Dan and Anna had dress like a Pop Star day at dance.  Cousin Eli came over for a play date and I tried to do more Nauvoo research with McKenna.  The cast list was finally posted for Mary Poppins and McKenna and Ben got the parts of Jane and Michael Banks!!  So exciting!!  McKenna went to Grace's for a play date and the rest of us went to the Splash Pad.  Alice loved but poor Bethany was starting to get a runny nose so she didn't feel great.  Abril came to pick up Eli and the Moulton's also came for a bit.  We had dinner at Zupas that night then McKenna, Anna, and I went to the Swanson's to look at and buy some hand-me-down dance company stuff.  We also did our first Anti-Pornography lesson with the three older kids and then played games at Sam and Lara's again.

Saturday was my race day!!  Sarah drove Amy and I.  I had a great first half of the race, and then a pretty slow second half due to really painful calluses and a sore foot.  I was quite disappointed  but still proud I finished only 2 minutes slower than my goal.  I finished pretty much in the middle of the women overall and also in the middle of my age group.  We had the free breakfast in the park, it rained on us, then we bought everyone some more breakfast at McDonald's.  Bethany went to a birthday party for preschool friend David and we picked up McKenna and Ben's scripts and groceries.

Dan took Bethany out for a BD date.  All she said she wanted was to go to lunch with him and shop for LEGOS.  In preparation for Bethany's actual birthday coming up on Monday, I asked what she wanted to stick her candle in?  She said, "pink, purple, sparkle, unicorn ice cream."  I was skeptical such an ice cream existed, so I told Dan to take her down the ice cream isle and have her choose one.  Well, look what they found! Alice and I napped, then we went swimming at the Gunnerson's.  After showers, we went to a BBQ dinner at Melissa and Jared Smith's.  Ben was in heaven with their kittens!

Sunday I taught "I'll Walk With You" in Primary.  That night we had some of Dan's Institute friends over for dinner, Sharon and Aaron, and Skoot and Ashley.

July '19- Week 1- Mantua Swim Day, Outdoor Moive, Cul De Sac/Eaglewood, Midway, New Trampoline, Henry and Melek Baptisms

Monday I ran 3.5 miles with Sarah.  After breakfast we packed a lunch and went to Mantua for a friends swim day!  The Alexanders, Lewises, Behunins, and Moultons all came!  We had an incident where Ben and Henry Alexander were jumping off the top of the slide and Henry fell.  His side hit the concrete.  :( Thankfully he had on a life jacket which provided some padding for him.  But it was scary and I felt so bad!  Alexandria Moulton also tripped and cut the tip of her toe pretty bad, and when it was time to leave, Laura Lewis had a flat tire! What an eventful day?!  We drove Asha Wade home since Laura Lewis had to hang out for a bit, and had a late dinner.

Also, I just missed it in these pictures, but Alice had both phones (seen on the floor) up to each ear.

Tuesday I walked with Dan in the morning and worked on cleaning up/sweeping the back yard and patio room to get ready for an outdoor movie that night with the youth.  Cousin Hailey was here for a bit and I went to the personal history story writing class.  Everyone napped that afternoon and I signed Anna and Bethany up for Fall dance classes.  After dinner, Dan had a few church appointments and I cleaned the oven from the melted candy bowl incident.  Then we had about 36 people come over for an outdoor movie!  We watched the Johnny Depp "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." We even had people up on the retaining wall this year.
Wednesday I ran 3 miles.  The kids played at the Alexander's.  Our broken stove top finally got replaced!

After lunch, McKenna and Brittana did a lemonade stand.  Desi came here to play and Ben continued to play with Henry at his house.

Everyone took a rest and Dan and I went to visit Bro. Twitchell on his 90th BD!  I loved hearing his stories about him flying through the eye of a hurricane TWICE!  After dinner we headed to Dan's parent's cul de sac to watch the Eaglewood Fireworks and hang out with ward friends and neighbors.  We roughly counted 128 people!

Thursday was the 4th of July!  Ben got a haircut and everyone showered in the morning.  Then we went to see "Smallfoot" at the $1 movie.  We had lunch, then left for Midway at 3pm.  We decorated bikes and did the parade, decorated t-shirts, played water games (sponges), hula hoops, jump rope, and then took the BIG family picture with the drone.  We started dinner just as a storm was rolling in!  It started raining and the wind was pretty strong for about 30 mins.  Everyone had to hustle inside!  We managed to cram everyone in the house and sing to July BDs (Bethany)!  We left at 7:45ish to go to my Aunt Joan's house for some street fireworks.  Jonathan was the only other family there besides Joan and Laron.

Friday we had a slow morning and then ran some errands to Costco, Smith's, Standard Optical, and to the school to look at class lists.  McKenna had access to my phone in the car, so I got a couple cute pics of them. We had a late lunch and Dan came home early and recruited the Southam boys to help him move and set up a trampoline we inherited from the Parkers.  McKenna went to Winegar's that night to watch "Shazam" and Dan ran some more errands with the three middles. I worked on editing pictures.
Saturday, 1 week before my 10K race, I ran 5 miles and felt really good and strong and had a good pace!  We went to Henry Alexander's baptism and had lunch at their house.
Then Ben and I went to his school friend, Melek's, Baptism/birthday party.  Dan stayed home with the girls while Alice napped, and he mowed the lawn.

Dan had fun with the leaf blower as well!

Mickelle babysat that night while Dan and I went out for his BD.  We went to Texas Roadhouse, went walking around some stores, then parked on Bountiful Blvd, ate E.L. Fudge cookies, talked, and watched the sunset.  It was a very relaxing date and much needed time to reconnect.

Sunday Dan took Ben early to church and I taught "I Know My Father Lives" in Primary.  After lunch, we watched "Random Acts" and I worked on my personal history story.  McKenna performed a dance in in the basement with Anna to "Ain't Never Had a Friend Like Me."

After dinner and kids were in bed, we went and played games at Sam and Lara's.
