Sunday was our Bethany's 3rd birthday! She has the most nicknames out of anyone in our family. Beffy, Boof, Boofally, Beuford... She was very patient and didn't open presents until after church and after Dan got home from appointments. She kept saying "Oh my goodness!" with each present. She loves all things girly- pink, purple, jewelry, mermaids, barbies, princesses, ponies, fairies. The only thing she said she wanted for her birthday dinner was "strawbees." She requested Oreos and donuts for her treat. She is my only child with any amount of curl in her hair. Her speech is improving and she is officially potty trained, even dry at night! She's such a sweet and gentle big sister to Alice. We couldn't be more thrilled she is ours!

It took us a couple tries to get her boomerang video of her busting through her streamers, and this was the best we got.
One of my favorite things the kids have been doing lately is giving birthday gifts that are things of their own they don't want anymore.
She crashed hard later in the afternoon. Aunt Pickle gave her some mermaids.
After dinner, we invited cousins and aunts and uncles over for treats.
Once Ben got hot and took off his shirt, Bethany wanted to do the same.
As if the treats at our house weren't enough, Dan took some of the kids up to Grandma and Grandpa's because they had leftover froyo from Ugurt. Bethany also got to talk to my parents on Skype for a bit.
Turning three in our house means binkies go bye-bye! She did great throwing them away and didn't even cry about it! Hallelujah!

Monday the kids played in Jerry's tree house for a bit. We had swim lessons in the afternoon and in the evening we visited Dan's parents and took them a "welcome home" banner since Grandpa was just released from the hospital. Tuesday I went visiting teaching to Amy then headed straight to the South Town Expo Center for the Days of '47 Parade Float Preview. I love this free indoor event.
We had swim lessons in the afternoon and the rest of the evening at home.
Wednesday we had lunch at Dan's office, then home for swim lessons.
We had McKenna's friend Aliza over to play in the afternoon. Dan did baptisms for the dead with youth. That evening I went to dinner with Mickelle and two of our cousins Melissa and Steffanie. The outdoor movie for the youth that night was "Coco." McKenna had a late over with cousins Katie and Whitney at Stewart's house.
Thursday morning McKenna went back to the Stewart's for breakfast. Ben had science camp, then I took the kids to another $1 movie. This time it was "Ferdinand," and it was a darling movie! This was also our last day of swim lessons! Both Ben and Anna progressed tons, and yet they were both recommended to repeat the same level. Russ McKamey came over that evening to start building some stairs for us in the back year up to the retaining wall.

Friday we had a busy morning running errands and packing. We headed up to Mantua around 3pm for an overnighter with the Jayneses and Lewises. We had pizza for dinner, then went swimming till 6. Once kids were in bed (having "sleepovers"), we played a game called Pirateer.
Saturday we had a yummy breakfast, went on ranger rides, more swimming, watched "How to Train your Dragon," then cleaned up and headed home. But not before an ice cream cone at the country store.
