June 2020- Week 4- Anna Dance Comp., Temple Hike, Anna's BD, Dan's BD, Scott McIntyre Visits

Monday I exercised and after breakfast I cleaned more.  We got school lunch and McKenna went to play at Whitney's and Ben played at the Alexander's.  I took Anna to her last dance competition at the Egyptian Theater in Ogden.  They did so great and I always love watching all the performances!  It was nice to sit with Holley Searle as well.
Tuesday I went walking with Rachael and then we babysat Emmy Johnson.  The kids loved having Emmy here and I loved having a little(er)  baby here as well.  McKenna went with the YW to help paint Regina Bonner's fence as a service project.  Anna went to Emi Atkin's house to play and swim.  I called my Grandma Pat to check in on her and see how she would feel about a visit.  I took more pictures of the kids' school work and listened to my book.  After dinner we played Uno Flip outside.
Wednesday I exercised and my mom stopped by to drop off some pasta salad and watermelon.  She stayed for breakfast and our Come Follow Me discussion.  I took Anna to her last dance company event which was a picnic and little awards ceremony. She got the award for best memory!  While she was there, I went to a garden center and bought some spray to put on some bushes that were dying because of a powder mildew.  Afterwards Anna and I ran to Target to buy her some new tennis shoes.  Later, Ben and Anna played at the Alexander's and Brittana came here.  After dinner, McKenna went to an outdoor YW activity.
Thursday I went walking with Rachael again.  I picked up McKenna from voice lessons and ran an errand.  The girls played at Johnson's.  Later, while the three big kids were at piano, Dan and I took the two littles to visit cousin Emma who had knee surgery that day.  We took her Dan's crutches and a treat.  We ate dinner outside that night and did some yard work.

Friday was Anna Gayle's 7th birthday!  I went walking with Dan, and then after breakfast, we did the temple loop hike with the Stewarts.

When we got home, our cul de sac was getting resurfaced.  After lunch, Dan and I took Anna on her birthday date.  We first went to a book store and she chose a couple books then we read them and played at Bountiful City park and stopped for ice cream at Black Smith ice cream. We looked at her baby pictures once we got home and ate her favorite dinner (sloppy joes) and opened presents.  Her favorite thing was a robot dog she named Max.  She wanted Oreos as her treat and got phone calls from Aunt Mickelle and her loving grandparents! We love our sweet Anna and are so proud of the girl she is growing into!

Saturday I got up early and did some yard work.  Dan worked hard on washing windows outside.  I exercised and then washed some windows inside.  After lunch, we went swimming at the Gunnerson's.  Dan picked up groceries while everyone had showers and baths, then we went on a date and ate at Santo Tacos, got a treat, then walked around the Bountiful Temple grounds.
Sunday was our first day back at in-person church!  Dan went to the 9am meeting, then he came home and I took McKenna and Ben to the 10:30am meeting.  It teared up a lot as I felt the spirit confirm to me this was the right place to be!  It also felt so wonderful to see so many people I love and missed!  Both meetings only had about 45-50 people in them.  Everyone wore masks and the priesthood holders who passed the sacrament were gloved and the emblems were widely spaced out.  We did not sing any hymns, only listened to and pondered the words as it was played.  Such a unique experience.  Adam came and had Sacrament with Dan and the three little girls at home.  After lunch we watched Relative Race and I worked on writing the Nelson News.  Alice fell asleep at dinner and was really hard to wake up.  We had fun playing with McKenna's long hair and Ben created his own little "billiards table" on a book.  Dan met with Dave Moulton that night.
Monday I exercised and McKenna started dance camp at Backstage.  Ben played at the Winegar's.  We had school lunch and kids did homework and played with Tanner off and on.  It was a much cooler day outside so McKenna and I did computer stuff on the porch.  The Inman's stopped by after dinner to deliver a BD candy-gram poster for Dan's BD the next day.  They are so kind! McKenna had a movie night with Brittana that night watching Harry Potter #6.  Dan and I watched more "Last Man."

Tuesday was Dan's 38th Birthday! We brought him breakfast in bed and I walked on the treadmill after breakfast.  McKenna had dance camp again.  After picking her up, Dan's old college roommate Scott (and Laura) McIntyre and his family came by for a visit!  We love when they come by!  The kids got along great and made a sweet fort!  After they left and a nap, we opened presents.  Then Dan and I went on a date to the Mandarin.  After that, Dan had church stuff and I went to Meghan's for book club where we discussed "Where the Crawdad's Sing."

June 2020- Week 3- Ben to Nate's BD, Beth Upstart Grad, Primary Ice Cream Truck, McK Friends, Swim Lessons, Ensign Peak, Boating, Beth Recital, Father's Day

Monday I exercised and took the kids to swim lessons.  The three older kids played at Alexander's.  I organized and unpacked a few boxes.  Ben went to his friend Nate's "Escape Room" BD party.  Bethany graduated from the Upstart online preschool!  She worked so hard and learned some great reading skills!  We went to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner since we found out the Bountiful location is closing. :( The kids played outside and Brittana came over to watch Harry Potter #5 with McKenna.  Dan and I watched more "Last Man."
Tuesday I went walking with Dan.  Kids went to swim lessons.  After lunch our Primary Presidency came by with free ice cream!
McKenna had 4 friends come over to hang out since Olivia was still here from Indiana.
Ben had fun playing with Henry and Tanner in the recycling bin and going through the tube that goes under Davis Blvd.  Alice also LOVES playing with baby Emmy next door.  Everyone was home by 4:30 and after dinner Bethany and Alice tried on Bethany's dance costume and practiced her routine.  McKenna lost a molar! Dan and I watched "Last Man."
Wednesday I exercised and took Anna to dance and the other two kids to swim lessons. It was pretty chilly outside, but the pool was nice and warm.  Ben played at Grace Whitchurch's.  The kids had piano lessons and I went to my thyroid follow-up appointment and everything looked normal and the same as years past.  After dinner, the kids worked on Father's Day stuff and had baths.  I did a grocery order and Dan had bishop stuff.

Thursday McKenna had voice lessons and the kids had their last day of swim lesson so I took a bunch of videos and pictures.  I'm so proud of their progress!  Anna is just about ready for the deep end and Ben's technique and diving improved a ton!  After the lessons we ate lunch in the car and hiked Ensign Peak with some cousins.
After the hike we ran some errands and Dan mowed the lawn when we got home.  I weeded and listened to my book.  After dinner and kids were in bed, I edited pictures on my phone and Dan and I watched "Last Man."

Friday I exercised and after breakfast we left for Mantua.  Dan had a work call and I listened to my book on the drive.  We ate lunch as soon as we got there went swimming!  I had Alice take a nap on me that afternoon and we had a BBQ dinner.  The menfolk tried to get water pumping down the water slide, but nothing worked.  We stayed up late playing the golf card game and the "song challenge"  I feel like the first night at Mantua is always such a rough night!  McKenna had a hard time sleeping, Alice was in bed with us almost all night, and we got too hot and had to open a window at 3 am.
Saturday Dan and the older two went on a bike ride with Grandpa. I fed the other kids and packed our lunch and we went out on the boat on Mantua Res.  We did tubing and surfing and had a great time!
We left Mantua around 3:30 so we could do showers and baths and get Bethany ready for her dance recital!  Every dancer got the "red carpet" experience and performed by themselves.  She danced to a song called "Recipe" and smiled so big!  Her professional pictures turned out so cute!

Sunday was Father's Day!  Dan still had some meetings and we also spent a good deal of the day prepping to host all the Websters for Sunday dinner.  We made sure to call my dad as well.
The kids all made cure cards for Dan and he got some clothes and the traditional office calendar I made for him!

At Webster family dinner, we also celebrated our June BDs. It did my heart good to see our couch packed with as many as could fit!  We also spent some time showing videos from our phones of fun things ourselves or our kids had done recently.  Later, I walked around the yard with Laurie to get some landscaping help/advice.  Once everyone left, Dan and I spent a good amount of time cleaning up of the basement and the kitchen then chilled outside.  I'm so grateful for Dan's righteous fathering to our children and for my own dad and father-in-law who are amazing grandpas to our kids!
