Monday I exercised and took the kids to swim lessons. The three older kids played at Alexander's. I organized and unpacked a few boxes. Ben went to his friend Nate's "Escape Room" BD party. Bethany graduated from the Upstart online preschool! She worked so hard and learned some great reading skills! We went to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner since we found out the Bountiful location is closing. :( The kids played outside and Brittana came over to watch Harry Potter #5 with McKenna. Dan and I watched more "Last Man."
Tuesday I went walking with Dan. Kids went to swim lessons. After lunch our Primary Presidency came by with free ice cream!
McKenna had 4 friends come over to hang out since Olivia was still here from Indiana.
Ben had fun playing with Henry and Tanner in the recycling bin and going through the tube that goes under Davis Blvd. Alice also LOVES playing with baby Emmy next door. Everyone was home by 4:30 and after dinner Bethany and Alice tried on Bethany's dance costume and practiced her routine. McKenna lost a molar! Dan and I watched "Last Man."
Wednesday I exercised and took Anna to dance and the other two kids to swim lessons. It was pretty chilly outside, but the pool was nice and warm. Ben played at Grace Whitchurch's. The kids had piano lessons and I went to my thyroid follow-up appointment and everything looked normal and the same as years past. After dinner, the kids worked on Father's Day stuff and had baths. I did a grocery order and Dan had bishop stuff.
Thursday McKenna had voice lessons and the kids had their last day of swim lesson so I took a bunch of videos and pictures. I'm so proud of their progress! Anna is just about ready for the deep end and Ben's technique and diving improved a ton! After the lessons we ate lunch in the car and hiked Ensign Peak with some cousins.
After the hike we ran some errands and Dan mowed the lawn when we got home. I weeded and listened to my book. After dinner and kids were in bed, I edited pictures on my phone and Dan and I watched "Last Man."
Friday I exercised and after breakfast we left for Mantua. Dan had a work call and I listened to my book on the drive. We ate lunch as soon as we got there went swimming! I had Alice take a nap on me that afternoon and we had a BBQ dinner. The menfolk tried to get water pumping down the water slide, but nothing worked. We stayed up late playing the golf card game and the "song challenge" I feel like the first night at Mantua is always such a rough night! McKenna had a hard time sleeping, Alice was in bed with us almost all night, and we got too hot and had to open a window at 3 am.
Saturday Dan and the older two went on a bike ride with Grandpa. I fed the other kids and packed our lunch and we went out on the boat on Mantua Res. We did tubing and surfing and had a great time!
We left Mantua around 3:30 so we could do showers and baths and get Bethany ready for her dance recital! Every dancer got the "red carpet" experience and performed by themselves. She danced to a song called "Recipe" and smiled so big! Her professional pictures turned out so cute!
Sunday was Father's Day! Dan still had some meetings and we also spent a good deal of the day prepping to host all the Websters for Sunday dinner. We made sure to call my dad as well.
The kids all made cure cards for Dan and he got some clothes and the traditional office calendar I made for him!
At Webster family dinner, we also celebrated our June BDs. It did my heart good to see our couch packed with as many as could fit! We also spent some time showing videos from our phones of fun things ourselves or our kids had done recently. Later, I walked around the yard with Laurie to get some landscaping help/advice. Once everyone left, Dan and I spent a good amount of time cleaning up of the basement and the kitchen then chilled outside. I'm so grateful for Dan's righteous fathering to our children and for my own dad and father-in-law who are amazing grandpas to our kids!
