Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we went ice skating at the local Rec Center with some of the Webster fam.  Since this was Kenna's first time, we decided to show her some "Disney on Ice" videos on YouTube. Even with her wearing her princess skirt, McKenna was not initally a fan of the unsteadiness.

What a good son to help his dear mother skate around.

(This is when she actually began enjoying the experience)

Very helpful cousins made all the difference!

This one cracks me up.  Dan took it just as I wobbled.  (But I never actually fell. :) )
Brian, Katie, Andrew, David, Joe, Jake.
Dan eventually ended up picking McKenna up and "dancing" with her.
That's her upside down. :) Once Dan did this, it's all she wanted...until the "rink official" told him to stop. Scrooge...

We went home, had lunch and naps and then went to Dan's parent's house for dinner and a gift exchange.
Ben loves his new book from the Stewarts.
Kenna got some princess hair styling stuff from Katie.

We came home and gave the kids their Christmas Eve pjs...

...read/watched the Nativity story...
(*Note: Whenever McKenna set up this nativity set, the animals were always eating around the food.)
...and set out a colored picture and some snacks for Santa and his reindeer.  Then it was off to bed.
And here are Ben's first steps!  It's still not is favored mode of transportation, but he's getting closer to walking all the time.

**(Editor's note: Anyone notice my subliminal messaging in the pics? Hee hee...)**

What a great tradition to start and others to continue. Family. It's what it's all about, right?

what adorable kids! I remember my first kitchen set! One of the best toys ever and it's in my parent's attic. I can't wait to give it to my little one, one day!
