Tuesday, January 4th, after having our condo on the market since August 7th, we FINALY closed on selling...
Good-bye to our wonderful home of 3 years!
...and buying!!
Hello to our new home for many years to come!
The next few days were a whirlwind!! We got a new furnace and new carpet put into the house on the 3rd and 5th, and we moved in on the 6th. Baby induction on the 7th! (More on that later.)
Our original closing date was supposed to be December 21st! Closing was a nightmare in so many ways! If I had some advice for anyone, it would be to NOT try to close around the holidays. Too many people taking holiday hours and not getting the paperwork done that we needed! Thinking about it still makes me so frustrated... but boy, did we learn patience!!
We had such fabulous help moving from ward members, friends, and family! We couldn't have done it all without them. Some provided food, babysitting, and lots of manual labor! Our realtor (and her husband), who is also a ward member, dear friend, and a SAINT, went and finished cleaning our condo for us at LATE that night!! I tried so hard that day to work and work so I would go into labor on my own, but no such luck. :) We stayed up until 1 am trying to get the house livable for the next couple days we'd be at the hospital and my mom would be at the new house taking care of McKenna.
Labor and delivery story to follow...
