Home Improvement- Windows

Eventually, we would love to replace the exterior wood paneling on our house with some new siding.  However, all of the companies that came to give us bids said if we were ever planning to replace the windows, we needed to do that FIRST.  Last Summer we did the upstairs windows and we mixed and matched the kinds of windows that were installed.  The ones that face more South get more sunlight, so we chose fiberglass frames.  The other windows that are in the shade are vinyl.

Here are the old windows. They very difficult (impossible) to open and not very attractive anymore. Were they ever?  Who knows?  Plus, they were FOUR-paned and pretty sure they were the original from when the house was built in '72.

Here are the NEW!  They are much more energy efficient and I love how easy they open and close.

Most recently, Dan had the brilliant idea to continue updating the look of our windows and put trim around them.

Next, we had to putty and fill all the holes from the old windows, caulk around the trim, and then paint the trim.  And by "we," I mean DAN.  Did you know he's the man? :)
Then, Dan textured the walls and we selected a color...  See next post. :)
