August- Week 2- Davis County Fair

I should have posted this earlier, but the kids, with Shelby's help, made us a cute "welcome home" banner.  We kept it up for a good two weeks. :)
When we gave the kids their Chile souvenirs, we also opened up a belated birthday present for Anna from her 9-and-a-half-year-old cousin, Kari.  She MADE this cute hat!
Enjoying some time in the kiddie pool after spending some time working in the yard.  McKenna obviously did not want her picture taken.
After taking off wet swim suits, Ben decided to do a little more yard work.
Dan spent a few days with our ward's youth at the Ogden Temple open house, and also at Mantua for their Youth Conference.  Such a great group of kids!
This girl is SUCH a daddies girl and loves to take selfies!
We enjoyed a pizza picnic at the park!
I tried these pigtails on Anna!

We also attended the Davis County Fair with Brynn and her kids.  This was the area where the Princesses would later greet people.  Since it was currently not being used, the girls had to take a turn.
Practicing their wave.
The boys being silly.
We watched the Princess show.  Not real great singers, but I guess an OK message of "making your dreams come true."
Cute cousins.
The kids also had an artist sketch their faces for FREE.  There were a couple kids inbetween McKenna and Ben, but I think you can totally tell from these drawings that they're siblings.
We saw the bear show.

The bunnies.
And Ben was brave enough to pet the goats.  Can you tell it was a hot day?
McKenna also had a pre back-to-school picnic to meet her teacher and some of her classmates.  They played a cute sticker tag game.
Meeting her teacher, Mrs. Thomas.
Anna got tagged a couple times too. :)
Benny, taking a catnap on me.
Dan and I went to his High School Seminary Council reunion.  They had all but 3 people there.  This was the first formally organized high school reunion Dan had attended and he really enjoyed reconnecting with this group of people. Almost makes him wish he would have gone to his 5 & 10 year reunions...almost :).

Ha..mckenna's sassy face! I have very little desire to attend any high school reunions. I'm think that's either do to lack if friends or lack of things to show off. I should win the lottery, then go to my reunion ;)
