The morning the Smith family left, we got a really good snow storm, finally!
It was such a big storm that the snow plows had a pretty hard time keeping the roads cleared in the residential areas.
I attended the last day day of a Pearl of Great Price class I had been taking once a week for 6 weeks. It was kind of crazy to get there in the snow. But thankfully, by the time the class was done, the storm had stopped and the sun was already out melting the accumulation. Ben also had a mysterious fever later in the evening.
Wednesday, we had quite the adventure at Library story time. Anna was getting antsy towards the end while I was trying to find some books to use for preschool. She didn't want to be in the stroller any longer and nothing seemed to help. I tried snacks, sippy cup, giving her books to read, binki, and even eventually letting her get out to walk (which didn't end up being what she wanted either). Not that big of deal when one kid throws a tantrum, right? We were close to leaving anyway. Unfortunately, also towards the end of our library visit, Ben decided he really wanted to see/explore the upper floor of the library. I informed him there were no kids books up there, but he was insistent. As I continued to explain to him we needed to quickly check out our books and leave because Anna was screaming at this point, he also began to scream that we couldn't leave until we walked around some more upstairs. Lots of people were staring at this point. We finally made it just outside the main doors and Ben plants himself in front of the stroller making it even more difficult to hurry out further away from ear shot.
So at this point, I have two kids screaming and McKenna's covering her ears with such a concerned look on her face as if to say, "What are we going to do mom?! How do we make them stop?" I did my best to quickly maneuver around Mr. Stubborn Ben and rush to the car as quick as possible both kids still screaming. Anna's thrashing around and seems to be trying to fall out of the stroller and Ben is pulling on my clothes and anything he can grab trying to get me to turn around and go back into that quiet peaceful place. To some, even two kids screaming and throwing a fit still might not seem like a big deal. But our crazy exit from library story time was topped off by by Anna crying and screaming so hard she started coughing, gagging, and then made herself throw-up on a couple of our library books. Awesome! Thankfully, it wasn't that much throw-up and it cleaned up quickly. Once we made it back to van, I continued to have a power struggle with Ben about buckling up. Needless to say, kids can be the WORST sometimes. :)

Later that day, we invited a neighbor friend over to play in the snow since we knew it would only last maybe another day or two.
It was perfect "packing" snow and we made this little guy pretty quick.
(Yes, Ben's in pink snow pants. :))

Our neighbor friend brought over a boogie board and the kids had a blast sliding down our hill. Only one of them made it all the way into the street. Oops. ;)
Our friend didn't even use the boogie board half the time. She just slid down on her belly.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, McKenna didn't have school due to SEP conferences. Thursday, we had our appointment to go meet with her teacher and got a GREAT report from her about how well McKenna is doing! Thursday I also started a 6 week online course for teacher relicensure points about internet safety.
Ben had preschool and learned about the letter "Vv" (for vanilla).
How many Lego guys can you fit on one ship?
Friday, we went with the Winegar family to the last home Utah Gymnastics meet. We ate dinner at Hires!
The kids did great!
Because it was the last home meet, it was also "Senior" night where they spotlighted their graduating seniors on the team. They also passed out these awesome glow sticks to use during the opening. It looked SO cool!
Four of the five Winegars left early. We kept Whitney with us and went to Ugurt afterwards where Uncle Adam and Aunt Pidi where both working!
Saturday, McKenna and I went to a baby shower for one of my cousins.
Here's me 21 weeks along.

Oy, some days kids have had just enough, and there is nothing to make them happy. :) Good mom to just get home and not have it ruin the whole day. ;) Cute belly picture!!!! You look so great!
Such a cute tiny baby bump!
I must have missed the conference call when you told this story. Anna crying so hard she threw up on books? Sad day :(
