July 2020- Week 2- Lagoon Trail, Boating, Outdoor Movie, Ministering Visits

Wednesday I woke up not feeling well; my cold mostly consisted of a runny nose.  During this time of the Covid-19 Pandemic, a runny nose was almost comforting as it is one of the least common symptoms.  I had an appointment that morning to see a foot specialist to address my food pain.  He did an x-ray and an ultrasound and said I have early stages of Plantar Fasciitis.  The prescribed treatment was orthotics for my running shoes for extra arch support, stretches to do at night, a night splint and an icing routine.  He wanted to see me again in 6 weeks.  I took a pictures of the cute toes printed on the doctor's office sanitation paper.
After lunch, Dan and I went to the carpet store and met with Meghan's dad, Jed, then we ran a few errands.  We had a Zoom meeting with the missionaries. Right before dinner the kids jumped on the tramp with the sprinklers on.  After dinner, Autumn and Amy came over for a ministering visit outside.  Autumn had a great spiritual thought regarding everyone (people in society) complaining about the requirement to wear a mask when out in public.  She had the thought, if we compare wearing a mask to keeping any commandment, wearing a mask gives us more freedom like keeping the commandments can give us more freedom.  So, what commandment am I NOT keeping that could give me more freedom?
Thursday I went walking with Rachael.  Dan took McKenna to voice lessons and I took the other kids to their Summer camps.  We ran an errand and after lunch Jordan Slaugh came over to play with Ben.  I had a good chat with Jen when she came to pick him up, then Ben played with Henry and Anna played with Desi.  McKenna and Alice took some selfies in the garage.  They played with the water table in the back.  I talked with Jonathan for our weekly call.  After dinner, we went to a drive by baby shower for Dan's work/college friend Beth (and Josh) Adair.  They were able to finally adopt a little girl!  We got Slurpees on the way home and I had to take a picture of my 4 beautiful daughters waiting in the car, then we played outside for a bit.  McKenna and Brittana watched Harry Potter #7 part 1.

Friday after breakfast we went with Swa and her kids on the Lagoon trail.  It was pretty hot but still fun, then Ellie came to play here while Ben played at the Winegar's.  Desi came to play too.  I had to help them get a long just a little bit.  We had everyone nap and then Dan and I went on a date to Cafe Rio and picked up groceries.  That night, we hosted our first outdoor movie with the Johnsons, Alexanders, and Scotts.  We watched "Onward."

Saturday we went boating at Mantua and Dan got up surfing the first time!  Unfortunately, we had some issues with tube so the kids only got one run on it.  We ate lunch at Mantua and swam the rest of the day.  We had Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner then drove home and gave a ride to Henry and Truman Stewart.  I did some laundry when we got home and Dan got a haircut.
Sunday Dan, McKenna, Ben and I fasted and after the younger three ate we did showers and baths.  We had home church and watched Relative Race.  I blogged a little.  After dinner, my parents and Mickelle came over for ice cream since Mickelle needed some cheering up due to her and Luis breaking up.  :(  After kids were in bed, we played Skyjo.
Monday Dan and I did some yard work before breakfast.  After breakfast the middle three played at the Johnson's.  We ate school lunch and Emi Atkin came to play with Anna.  I started planning our camping trip menu.  I also made no bake cookies and Ben played at Henry's.  I felt like I had a little mental battle going on this day.  I was feeling bad about so many of the Websters getting Bethany's cold, any many of them deciding to quarantine themselves in case it was Coronavirus... but I wasn't feeling the need to do so and was having all sorts of guilt and anguish and just wishing a cold could be a cold.  In my mind I was feeling judged harshly by family because we brought the cold up for the 4th of July...ugh!  David and Andrew decided to go get tested for Covid, and thankfully, in a few days we found out it was negative and everyone could relax a little.  After a little while, my mind started to move on after talking to Dan and processing it a little.  After dinner we delivered cookies to three neighbors.  The Barretts, and two new move-ins.  I went to Janel Barnes' for a ministering visit after kids were in bed.

Tuesday the kids had Summer camps and McKenna went to Lyla's.  We got school lunch then Lia came over to play.  Anna and Bethany played with water balloons and slip n slide with Desi and Mabel.  I blogged a little and after dinner I got to go on another ministering visit, this time to Amanda Koldewyn.
