July 2020- Week 3- Bethany's 5th Birthday, Camping with Moultons and Pugsleys, Webster July BDs, First Day with RV

Wednesday was Bethany's 5th birthday!  We started the day with breakfast in bed for her!  Since she saw us do that for Dan, she wanted it as well.  :)  After lunch we had a small outdoor party for her.  She invited cousins Clara and Amelia (Hailey couldn't come because of a cold), and friends Brooklyn Moulton, Hallie Allred, and Arlee Aird.  We painted rocks, had a dance party, did the slip n slide, ran through sprinklers, had ice cream, and opened presents.  Such a fun party!  After we cleaned up, Bethany and Anna played with all her new toys and I chilled!  We had pasta salad for dinner and had baths and Bethany got phone calls from family members.  Then we played games as a family.  Emma stopped by to return Dan's crutches.  After kids were in bed, Dan and I watched more "Last Man on Earth." I tried to get in the routine of icing and stretching my feet like the doctor ordered.

Thursday I went walking with Rachael.  McKenna had voice and the kids had their last day of Summer camps.  We had school lunch again and another Zoom meeting with the missionaries.  McKenna finished reading the Harry Potter series and she was sad to be done but LOVED it!  I picked up groceries and had my call with Jonathan then we started packing for camping.  Ben and Anna played with the Alexanders.  After dinner, we did yard work even though it was super hot!  We had to get it done since we'd be gone for the weekend and then heading to Bryce Canyon for a few days.  I listened to my book club book and then also listened to the RS zoom meeting where Kim Ulmer taught.  After kids were in bed, I collaged phone pictures and Dan prepped his orange and chocolate cake mix camping dessert.

Friday we spent the morning prepping for camping with the Moultons and Pugsleys.  We left around 1pm and arrived to the campsite by 3.  We camped up in Heber on the Moulton's family property. We got things set up and just hung out until dinner time.  We had hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner.  The kids got glow sticks and played hide and seek.  Dan cooked his orange cakes for dessert and we played Mafia around the campfire.  This was Alice's first time sleeping in the tent trailer with us and she was so tired she was the first one asleep!
Saturday I got up at 7 am and was shocked that no one in my family was awake yet.  I went on a three mile walk with Amy and Sarah and we saw a bull moose!  We had breakfast sandwiches and the kids had a great time making mud pies and adding wild flowers to them.  The kids also rode their bikes a lot down the road that was the entrance to the property.  We took a little hike down to a stream for the kids to play in.  We had tacos for lunch and then just hung out and visited.  The kids also shot BBguns.  Dave Moulton's parents and his older brother's family came up to work on clearing a hiking trail they made.  We started cleaning up camp around 3pm and we left by 4:30.  We stopped for dinner and got all cleaned up when we got home.   Bethany and Alice were up late due to them napping late in the car on the way home.
Sunday we had our normal home sacrament meeting, folded laundry, and watched Relative Race.  Mickelle came by and gave Bethany a new camera for her BD!  We started packing for our Bryce Canyon trip.  We had Webster family dinner at Dave and Laurie's that night and celebrated July BDs.
Monday we used the morning to pack and food prep and around 11:45 Dan left to pick up our RV from Access RV.  He took McKenna and Ben with him and I fed the three little girls lunch.  We were delayed in bringing the RV home because the back up camera wasn't working and there was a battery issue.  Brynn and Swa and kids came by so they could check out the RV, but unfortunately never saw it because of the delay.  By the time we finally got it here and loaded everything up, we left by 3:30pm (about 2 hours after we wanted to).
We made a quick stop in Scipio to buy milk and see my grandparents graves.  We even saw some Thompson pickles on my great uncle's grave.  I listened to my book a lot.  We drove south through the center of the state on some roads we had never been on.  We passed Butch Cassidy's childhood home and the little resort town next to the "Big Rock Candy Mountain."  Because of our late departure, I ended up heating up our dinner of rice a roni and zucchini as we were driving down the road, which only made me slightly car sick.  The kids watched "Harry Potter 3" and played Skyjo.  Once we arrived in Bryce City, we tried one campground and it was closed.  Thankfully, only 10 mins back down the road, we found another and were able to park for free for the night.  We were on a little bit of a slant, but it was fine since we were tired and needed to get as much rest as we could before the next day of hiking!

July 2020- Week 2- Lagoon Trail, Boating, Outdoor Movie, Ministering Visits

Wednesday I woke up not feeling well; my cold mostly consisted of a runny nose.  During this time of the Covid-19 Pandemic, a runny nose was almost comforting as it is one of the least common symptoms.  I had an appointment that morning to see a foot specialist to address my food pain.  He did an x-ray and an ultrasound and said I have early stages of Plantar Fasciitis.  The prescribed treatment was orthotics for my running shoes for extra arch support, stretches to do at night, a night splint and an icing routine.  He wanted to see me again in 6 weeks.  I took a pictures of the cute toes printed on the doctor's office sanitation paper.
After lunch, Dan and I went to the carpet store and met with Meghan's dad, Jed, then we ran a few errands.  We had a Zoom meeting with the missionaries. Right before dinner the kids jumped on the tramp with the sprinklers on.  After dinner, Autumn and Amy came over for a ministering visit outside.  Autumn had a great spiritual thought regarding everyone (people in society) complaining about the requirement to wear a mask when out in public.  She had the thought, if we compare wearing a mask to keeping any commandment, wearing a mask gives us more freedom like keeping the commandments can give us more freedom.  So, what commandment am I NOT keeping that could give me more freedom?
Thursday I went walking with Rachael.  Dan took McKenna to voice lessons and I took the other kids to their Summer camps.  We ran an errand and after lunch Jordan Slaugh came over to play with Ben.  I had a good chat with Jen when she came to pick him up, then Ben played with Henry and Anna played with Desi.  McKenna and Alice took some selfies in the garage.  They played with the water table in the back.  I talked with Jonathan for our weekly call.  After dinner, we went to a drive by baby shower for Dan's work/college friend Beth (and Josh) Adair.  They were able to finally adopt a little girl!  We got Slurpees on the way home and I had to take a picture of my 4 beautiful daughters waiting in the car, then we played outside for a bit.  McKenna and Brittana watched Harry Potter #7 part 1.

Friday after breakfast we went with Swa and her kids on the Lagoon trail.  It was pretty hot but still fun, then Ellie came to play here while Ben played at the Winegar's.  Desi came to play too.  I had to help them get a long just a little bit.  We had everyone nap and then Dan and I went on a date to Cafe Rio and picked up groceries.  That night, we hosted our first outdoor movie with the Johnsons, Alexanders, and Scotts.  We watched "Onward."

Saturday we went boating at Mantua and Dan got up surfing the first time!  Unfortunately, we had some issues with tube so the kids only got one run on it.  We ate lunch at Mantua and swam the rest of the day.  We had Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner then drove home and gave a ride to Henry and Truman Stewart.  I did some laundry when we got home and Dan got a haircut.
Sunday Dan, McKenna, Ben and I fasted and after the younger three ate we did showers and baths.  We had home church and watched Relative Race.  I blogged a little.  After dinner, my parents and Mickelle came over for ice cream since Mickelle needed some cheering up due to her and Luis breaking up.  :(  After kids were in bed, we played Skyjo.
Monday Dan and I did some yard work before breakfast.  After breakfast the middle three played at the Johnson's.  We ate school lunch and Emi Atkin came to play with Anna.  I started planning our camping trip menu.  I also made no bake cookies and Ben played at Henry's.  I felt like I had a little mental battle going on this day.  I was feeling bad about so many of the Websters getting Bethany's cold, any many of them deciding to quarantine themselves in case it was Coronavirus... but I wasn't feeling the need to do so and was having all sorts of guilt and anguish and just wishing a cold could be a cold.  In my mind I was feeling judged harshly by family because we brought the cold up for the 4th of July...ugh!  David and Andrew decided to go get tested for Covid, and thankfully, in a few days we found out it was negative and everyone could relax a little.  After a little while, my mind started to move on after talking to Dan and processing it a little.  After dinner we delivered cookies to three neighbors.  The Barretts, and two new move-ins.  I went to Janel Barnes' for a ministering visit after kids were in bed.

Tuesday the kids had Summer camps and McKenna went to Lyla's.  We got school lunch then Lia came over to play.  Anna and Bethany played with water balloons and slip n slide with Desi and Mabel.  I blogged a little and after dinner I got to go on another ministering visit, this time to Amanda Koldewyn.

July 2020- Week 1- Mia's BD, Fire in Gully, 4th of July at Mantua, WX Summer Camps

Wednesday I went walking with Rachael then McKenna had dance camp.  Bethany woke up with a croupy sounding cough.  :( I did some yard work and Alice stayed and talked with me almost the whole time!  Such a good helper. After lunch, Dan took the older three to Willard Bay for Mia's 5th BD party.  Bethany was so sad to miss it, but she really wasn't feeling well.  They played on the beach, played in the water with paddle boards, the kayak, and the boat.  At home, I let Alice and Bethany play with the water table in the backyard and after dinner we did baths.
Thursday I exercised and McKenna had voice lessons and dance camp.  Dan went into the Murray office.  We had a chill afternoon at home.  Ben took this picture of me holding/snuggling Alice on the front porch.  And I love McKenna's selfies. :)  McKenna went to the Novak's after dinner for a swim birthday party for McKinley Ulmer.
Friday I exercised and McKenna had her last day of dance camp.  Dan went shooting with my dad and we packed and cleaned that afternoon.  Then we hosted my family for a "3rd of July" BBQ!  We had delicious food and then did some poppers, smoke bombs, and sparklers in the cul de sac.  We had to do it while it was still light because we needed to drive to Mantua that night.  Alice got a little burn on her finger from touching a sparkler that was done burning, but the metal was still hot!  :(
Just after we finished tucking the kids into bed at Mantua, we got a call from a neighbor saying the gully by our house was on fire after some teenagers dropped a firework on the ground and it bounced into the dry grass.  They sped off and were never caught.  Thankfully, the fire fighters worked so fast our home was never really in danger.  They did a great job! I'm so thankful for neighbors who look out for us!  I'm pretty grateful we were NOT home at the time because I think our kids (or I) would have been a little traumatized.
Early on the 4th of July, Dan got up to go golfing with some of the men.  We enjoyed lots of cousin time, swimming, going for a walk, rock painting, decorating prize bags, a candy cannon, getting hair and makeup done by aunts, face painting, outside games, and yummy food!   We did some driveway fireworks that night once it was dark.

Sunday we had home Sacrament meeting at Mantua and Bethany loved taking selfies beforehand.  After lunch we watched the newest Little Women and Alice took a little nap on me.  We had a delicious dinner, played games, and Reed was dared to sit in the cooler full of ice water... so he did. :)  We left for home around 8pm.
Monday I exercised... and maybe from here on out, I won't mention my workouts unless they are particularly good or significant.  :)  Since we moved into this new house, I've developed a pretty good habit of doing something physical 5 days a week!  Running for 3 days with some arms and core exercises as well, and walking for the 2 other days.  I'm feeling pretty good and strong overall.
*Update, that croupy sounding cough Bethany woke up with on the 1st of the month, turned into colds for Dan, Me, and many others in the Webster family.  Oops!  She wore a mask at Mantua probably 50% of the time, but it wasn't enough to not "share the love."  Sorry everyone!
Monday was also a big cleaning day.  Ben and McKenna vacuumed and I deep cleaned the basement kitchen floor.  Tanner and Cooper came over for a bit.  After lunch I snuggled Anna and worked on some computer stuff.  After dinner, we folded laundry and watched Relative Race.  After kids were in bed, we experimented with setting up an outdoor movie and then came in and started watching "Hamilton!"

Tuesday the middle three kids had their first day of WX City Summer Camps.  Bethany did Adventure camp (with friends Caleb Day, Daisy Behunin, and Cooper Johnson), Anna did Yoga, and Ben did Pickle ball with Tanner Johnson and Mason Stewart.  I loved being able to sit and chat with all the moms while at the park!  We got Keva and Great Harvest for lunch.  After a nap, I searched for outdoor movie options.  Dan and I watched more Hamilton that night and I started to feel the beginnings of my cold from Bethany.
