Webster Fam Vacation- Las Vegas! Part 3 and Birthday

After we put the kids to bed, we would all gather in the parent's hotel room to play games (with the baby monitors of course).

These were some of the fun times we had in our hotel room.
McKenna's bedtime routine. Love these two!
And she loved playing in our closet with the sliding doors. She only ran over her toes once. :)

I celebrated my 26th birthday while were were in Vegas too. They bought me a delicious carmel cheesecake from "The Cheesecake Factory!"
Opening some presents- way cute clothes!

Then, when we got home, Dan spoiled me more with these beautiful flowers!

And this may seem silly, but I've been wanting new indoor and outdoor doormats. The mats we had were the originals from the previous owner.
Here are the originals...

He also helped with my ever-expanding Disney movie collection and bought me Toy Story!
Thanks mom and dad for the amazing trip and memories! And thank you to everyone for the wonderful birthday! Now I can blog about the month of June. :)

Webster Fam Vacation- Las Vegas! Part 2

Ok, I've been seriously slacking with the blogging the past month. This pregnancy exhaustion thing is for reals! I always nap when McKenna does and have little time for blogging the rest of the day. Anyway, I figured I'd better finish posting about our Vegas trip that was over a month ago. Then I'll get caught up on June. :)

Day two of our trip, we went to an awesome park!

Worst slide ev-er! This thing just rattles your very being! I'm glad Kenna liked it.

There were plenty of open fields for the kids to run around in.

After lunch and naps we went swimming at the hotel. The Spring wind in Vegas made the pool a little chilly so she spent most of her time in the hot tub with Dad.

Dan's sweet mom had one of these made for each grandbaby!

Love these wrinkled feet/toes!
That night, one of Dan's local cousins helped get us some babysitters so just the grown ups could go out. We went and saw Cirque du Soleil's "O." It was A-mazing! I would highly recommend it!

Webster Fam Vacation- Las Vegas! Part 1

I'll try not to be long winded. We took a fun family vacation to Las Vegas and stayed at the Homewood Suites. On day 1, we went to the Aquarium at Manalay Bay. Here's most of the group with our fun treat bags and water bottles provided by Gma and Gpa. THANKS!
You can tell by her shiney forehead that it was quite humid in there. You'll also notice a bruise on her forehead. She was just so excited to be running around the airport with her cousins (right before our flight out) that she wasn't watching where she was going and ran forehead first into a pole! Poor baby!
Komodo Dragon

Fishies!

Stingrays!

Dan was brave!
Sharks!
Our attempt at a family picture
Then we went over to the MGM hotel to see the Lion Habitat. They said it was sound and smell proof so they are totally relaxed!
I, on the other hand, was not!

Then we headed over to the Rainforest Cafe for some yummy lunch! I LOVE these next two pictures. McKenna was terrified of the fake animals all around the restaurant and gift shop. Dan's not even holding on to her she's clinging so tightly to him!
I really wish this one wasn't blurry; her face is priceless. We're such mean parents.
This guy was right by our table and would move around everytime there was a "rain storm." She never did get used to he and his friends.
But she does have a darling little face!
We had to get some proof we were on the Strip at some point. In front of NY, NY. Incidentally, Dan and B-I-L JWinegar rode on the rollercoaster 10 & 11 times, respectively. They were both so sore afterward, but said they had fun. I probably would have barfed after the first 2 runs!
After naps, we all headed out to an outdoor shopping center, Town Square. They had these cool car strollers you could rent and walk around with. We just let the kids play on them while they were parked. :)

And then we saw this gem! A "Dill" ivery car with...

Huh??
Stay tuned for Part 2...

Running for Foster Care

Pardon my intrusion into Laura's...I mean...our blog :)
With all of the garbage going on in the world, I thought I'd share a cool story from my work. I promise I'll try to keep my intrusion into the blogosphere brief and appropriate [something I did not do with my first post :)]
I know many of you love running...something that I have yet to fathom. I have great respect for those of you that do, and am always in awe of the people who overcome great personal obstacles in doing so; exhibit A!

(insert shameless employer shout-out here)

Through my job I've become acquainted with another remarkable individual, Mike, a foster Dad in Salt Lake who is preparing for his first marathon in Park City a few months from now. Mike is running, in part, to raise awareness for the needs of foster children in Utah and has set up a website for his supporters. Because of this and many other reasons, he was nominated for and chosen to be the SLV Foster Dad of the Year! He, along with recipients from other regions, will be awarded next weekend during the Chalk Art Festival.

Just another example of a) the awesome people in this world who try to make a difference, and b) one of the many reasons why I love my job!
P.s. if you are going to be around next weekend (June 18-19), come check out the Chalk Art Festival at the Gateway. It will be a great time and loads of stuff the kids will enjoy! I'm just praying it doesn't rain again...
