Dan had some work meetings and an event to staff in St. George March 7-9. We were happy to tag along with him!
The car ride was uneventful and the kids did very well! This was the first big road trip with our mini van we bought a year ago and we loved it!
The portable DVD player we borrowed from my sister was a life-saver. :)
As soon as we got there, we dropped Dan off at his meetings, which left me with the three kids and the task of checking in to the hotel and unloading all our stuff by myself. I was pretty proud! :) Don't worry...Anna was totally safe on the bottom.
Our lovely hotel room.
Then we headed to a park to burn off some energy.
Loving the beautiful weather!
But then... Ben was pushing an empty swing which came back and smacked him in the face. Mean old swing!
Once I saw that it was only a bloody nose, I'm pretty sure I did everything wrong to try to keep the blood off of our clothes. You know, like tip his head way back (so he ended up swallowing a lot of blood). I tried to pinch the nose to stop the bleeding (but I probably pinched the wrong spot because he just kept saying ow, ow, ow!). Poor guy.
After Dan's meetings, we ate dinner in our hotel room and then went swimming.
It was quite chilly so Anna and I sat this one out.
Then we went to Menchie's for some Fro Yo. Strange that Ben is pulling a face in this picture; so rare around here. :)
The following day, once again while Dan was at meetings, we went to the Children's Museum. It's relatively new and FREE. I thought it was VERY good for preschool aged kids! I think elementary aged might get bored.
You could actually squeeze these udders and "milk" (water) would spray out.
A cool plane/flight simulator
A cool bubble thing
McKenna's favorite room was of course the Princess/castle room.
They totally posed like this on their own. The handsome prince swooning the fair maiden.
That night we hung out with one of Dan's good friends, John Leavitt, and his family.
The kids acted out 3 fairy tales and we had a blast catching up!
Goldilocks
Every morning, the kids loved climbing in the pack n' play to play with Anna first thing in the morning.
The last day there, Dan was at the Red Rock Relay at a relief station and we hit up another park, had a picnic lunch, and enjoyed hanging out with the Leavitts again.
We drove home that evening and lost an hour due to Day Light Savings. Thankfully, our kids "slept in" the next day.

Love that they climb into the pack and play with Anna :) Good job on getting everything/one inside by your self!
