Oct- Week 3- Pumpkin Festival, Hike, McKenna's BD

Friday we went to the Gateway Mall for the Pumpkin Festival put on by Dan's work.  There are a few other "vendors" that come set up booths as well.  The kids love the characters.

They got some free swag and balloon creations and couldn't have been happier.  Too bad I didn't get a great picture of their finished pumpkins.  Just grateful it was a beautiful, warm day.

Dan did a couple TV interviews as well.  He's kind of a big shot! ;)
Sweet sleepy face after nursing.
Friday night Dan took advantage of the warm weather and slept out in a tent in our backyard with McKenna and Ben.
Saturday we went on a family hike up Mueller Park canyon.  The Fall leaves were GREAT!! The kids did fairly well.  Anna was super slow as expected.  McKenna slipped a lot (crappy shoes), and Bethany was pretty hungry and cried most of the walk back down to the car.  But overall, a fun and beautiful way to spend our Saturday morning.
We stopped at these teepees/lean-tos and had some fruit snacks.
We did some chores in the afternoon while McKenna played at her cousin's house.
Sunday, we had been having some issues with Anna not being tired enough at night to go to sleep so we toyed with the idea of no more naps for a few day to see if it helped.  It certainly made her more sleepy for bedtime, but it also made dinner pretty entertaining with her drifting off to sleep mid-chew and mid-drink.
Smiley Bethany at breakfast.
Monday was McKenna's 7th birthday!!  I got to go to her classroom to give a little spotlight about her.  Then we stayed for her lunch and brought her some powdered donuts (per her request).  Love Anna's powdery face.
That night we took McKenna on her birthday date.  First we went shopping at Smith's Marketplace; she chose two small "girl" Lego sets.  Then we had dinner at Corner Bakery Cafe.
Next, we took her to see this movie.
She got to Skype with my sister and parents.
After the movie, we came home for "cake" and ice cream.  She requested chocolate donuts and strawberry ice cream.  We also gave her a couple presents (a Beanie Boo and new shirt) and cards that came in the mail from Grandfather and my Condie grandparents.
We're thankful Grandpa Webster could come for treats too.

Wednesday I had  a meeting for girls camp and later attended Ben's music class with him.  McKenna also went on her Birthday date with Grandma Sibber.
They started at Build-a-Bear, where she chose from the "Frozen" collection, an "Anna" bear.
Getting her all dressed.

She also bought her a few new clothes, then treats at Dairy Queen.  Thank you Grandma!!
More snoozing during dinner that night.
Thursday I enjoyed nap snuggles with Bethany.
Ben has been really big into creating things lately.  He made this Iron Man arm/glove!
I attended a Primary training in the evening and McKenna let Dan pull her 6th loose tooth.
