Saturday we did yard work and the girls loved playing together in the Dan's car. The kids also rode bikes and all of the bike practicing thus far this Summer finally paid off!
McKenna rode a bike all by herself! She pedaled and balanced! Woo hoo!
McKenna got to choose a small prize at the store... of course another beanie boo!
We took the van in to get new tires. After lunch we went swimming at the Gunnerson's. We splurged and went to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse then picked up groceries. After kids were in bed we both worked on church stuff.
Sunday I had a little bit of a hard time getting Anna ready for church. She refused to go but after much negotiating she ended up going in a regular clothes (thankfully a skirt at least). Dan gave an excellent lesson to the youth about the Law of Chastity. We went to Sam and Lara's for dinner that evening.
Monday was Pioneer Day. After breakfast we went up to Bountiful Blvd so McKenna could practice biking more on a longer stretch of flat surface. I jogged a little and Anna even rode Ben's Hot Wheels tricycle. When we got home, we decided on a whim to change the kids's bedrooms around. We moved McKenna upstairs to her "own room", Anna downstairs to the bottom bunk, and Ben up to the top bunk. You could say they were all pretty happy about it! After lunch the Alexander's and Camille came over to play and have a lemonade stand, but they sold grape Koolaid (since that's what we had). They made about $12 and split it up between everyone.
For dinner we went to Jake and Ailin's new place for a BBQ. The little girls loved dancing on the deck and we tried cookms filled with all the good stuff!
After that we went to our neighborhood "Cul de Sac of Fire!" There were great treats and snacks and AWESOME fireworks! The kids loved playing with all their friends!
It ended just in time as a storm rolled in.
Tuesday the kids slept in pretty well after such a late night. Swa babysat while I took Bethany for a speech evaluation and she qualified for services! She qualified due to a significant gap in what she understands and what she can actually verbalize. They also said she needed a little bit further hearing testing just to make sure her ears are not the main issue for the speech delay. Unfortunately, later and more most of the day, the kids fought a lot about being in McKenna's new room. I worked on girls camp stuff in the afternoon.
Wednesday I went walking in the morning. Then to singing practice at the Novak's for a song I was going to sing in RS. Then we headed up to Mantua for another friends' swim day! The Roths and Alexanders came this time! Rachael always takes some great pictures.
We found out that my friend Melissa is pregnant!!
We left around 4:30 and drove past a 4-person airplane crash on I-15 that killed all 4 people. So sad!
After dinner, we set up our last outdoor movie. Bethany was cute and waiting so patiently in her little chair. We watched the "Peanuts" movie. The Gunnersons were the only ones who came and sadly enough we had to cut it short due a storm rolling in.
Thursday McKenna and I got up bright and early, packed a lunch and headed to Huntsville to Camp Kiesel for an Activity Days day camp. It was a little chilly most of the morning, but I'll take that over hot any day! We started with a flag ceremony then divided into groups and rotated through different stations. Our group started with a leather craft and shopping at the trading post.
Then we went to a little obstacle course. We only had one of our 15 girls that was too nervous to climb that high.
There was "fishing" activity as part of the obstacle course too. Next, we went to the BB gun and archery range.
We went on a little nature walk and then to the canoes.
We had closing flag ceremony and then had lunch. Such a fun group of girls!
We got home around 2:30 and Dan, who had been home with the other kids, had to leave for a work meeting. He also showed me that Ben took the final leap as well and learned to ride his bike! 2 new bike riders in the family!!
I worked on camp stuff for much of the afternoon.
Friday my visiting teachers came then we went to Bethany's ear check at the pediatrician. Unfortunately it was inconclusive. Nothing major to worry about, just needed further testing. We had a fast family lunch with Dan at his office.
When we got home McKenna and Ben went to play at the Alexander's. Erica came over for our final girls camp meeting from 2-4. That evening McKenna and Anna went to the granddaughter sleepover, so we took Ben and Bethany to the Royal Indian restaurant and then to the Rec Center park for some playing. Afterwards we got ice cream at McDonald's. Saturday morning I found Bethany playing in my make-up. Probably actually the first time this has ever happened and I was lucky enough to catch her before any real damage was done.

The girls had a blast as always at the sleep over with all their awesome cousins and wonderful Grandma!
Painting birdhouses.
Saturday Dan and I did a BUNCH of yard work. I swept out the breezeway and we heavily weeded and trimmed back trees and bushes on the east side of our house. We had so much yard waste when we were done Dan and Ben made a trip to the city dump. After the girls got home we all kind of chilled for a bit. We ran errands in the evening to get all the last minute girls camp preparations finished. After kids were in bed, Mickelle came over so we could stop by Jonathan's NEW HOUSE! He bought it and was super excited to show us. It's a really nice place and a tiny bit closer to us.
Sunday morning we had our final final girls camp meeting at my house with all the YW leaders to make sure we were all on the same page. I didn't feel 100% before church but we still managed to be on time. I substituted that day in singing time for Jr. Primary. That evening we had Webster family dinner and celebrated all the July BDs.
**Right before presents, we took our kids into Grandma's office and told them I was pregnant! We gave Bethany a piece of paper that said, "I'm going to be a big sister." McKenna actually teared up a little and gave me a BIG hug! Anna kept smiling and looking at my tummy. Ben and McKenna both asked "When did you get pregnant?" We just told them we found out on Dan's BD. :) We told them they had to keep it a secret for about 10 mins. We slipped another little piece of paper into Reed's present that said he was getting a new cousin.
Here's Bethany opening her presents! A new sleeping bag from the Stewarts!
Also some adorable new outfits from Grandma and a Mickey and Minnie house.
All the July babies!
Monday Brooklyn Ulmer babysat while Dan and I went to our first OB appointment. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat and it was wonderful!! I teared up a little and even after feeling sicker than other pregnancies, it finally felt real to me!
Not the best ultrasound pictures, but there's our little peanut and Bethany's bog sister sign!
After the appointment we went to lunch at Cafe Cancun. Dan went to work and I worked on laundry and getting ready for camp! I also Skyped my mom and dad to tell them our good news!
Bethany also decided she wanted to try sitting on and maybe even going pee on the little potty. Nothing happened, but the girls sure loved trying to help her along.
After dinner, there was a lot of fighting so we had a little circle time where we took some deep breaths, stretched, and said nice things about each other. I had singing practice that night for the song I would sing in Relief Society the next Sunday.
