Dec. '17- Week 3- Nutcracker, Breakfast with Santa, McK's Piano Recital, Christmas In Color, Gun Range, Gingerbread House

Friday we picked Lizzie Jaynes up from preschool and she stayed to play till 2.  Dan came home early and ran some errands with just Anna.  In the evening McKenna and I were able to go to dinner (at Zupas) and Ballet West's Nutcracker with all the Webster girls 5 and up!
Dan's cousin's daughter, Caroline McKellar was in the ballet!
McKenna laughed at the mice dying and loved the Russian dancers.
After the ballet, we drove straight to a hotel in Layton.  Dan was already there with the three little ones and had them asleep.  When we got there, he left to go see the new Star Wars movie.  Bethany didn't sleep too well that night, but we still enjoyed having a family "sleepover."

Saturday we went to Breakfast with Santa!  We love this Webster family tradition!  There's delicious food, cookie decorating, face painting, letters to Santa, and of course sitting on Santa's lap.  This year, because Utah Foster Care was the benefiting charity, Dan got to give a little speech at the beginning.
Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandbabies (minus 2).
All the Websters minus Sam and Lara's family.

After Breakfast with Santa we went to the airport to pick up Mickelle's car and take it home for her.  That afternoon McKenna, Ben and I got to see the new Star Wars while Dan took Anna and Bethany home to nap.  That night, Brooklyn Ulmer babysat while Dan and I took McKenna to the Tabernacle Choir Concert.  They had a fun "sing along" number this year and the featured soloist had such a great voice for the songs she chose to sing from the 70s.

Sunday was Heather Mills' mission farewell.  Ben gave a talk in Primary about how we know Jesus is the Son of God.  We had a combined choir practice with the 6th ward and a relief society social during the third hour.
That evening McKenna had her piano recital.
Oh, Christmas Tree
Silver Bells
She played very well and I'm so grateful for her developing talents!

Monday we watched Desi and Will Alexander while Rachael was recovering from hip surgery.  While they were here Anna and I worked on her poster for her half birthday (thanks to a Summer BD) spotlight at preschool.
I also took all the kids visiting teaching to Amy Pugsley's.
That evening we went to the drive through light display called Christmas in Color.  Another fun Christmas activity where you don't have to freeze! ;)
The three older kids rode with Grandma and Adam and enjoyed seeing the lights through the giant sun roof.
We went to get frozen custard afterwards with many of the Webster family!
Tuesday Kylee Behunin watched Anna and Bethany while I volunteered in Ben's class to help with a Christmas activity during their "Three World Religions" culminating activity.
That afternoon we babysat Beck and Daisy Behunin while Nate and Kylee went out.
Here's McKenna in some of her Native American attire she made in school.  That night the kids watched the "Barbie Christmas Carol."
Dan got some raisin bread as a Christmas gift from a ward member and he was in heaven while I was kind of gagging.  ;)  Soooo many raisins.
Wednesday McKenna had an orthodontist appointment and we set an appointment to get her braces OFF (Feb. 13th)!!  The kids got out of school early that day, so we got Keva Juice and Great Harvest bread for lunch.  That afternoon I worked on clearing the counters and putting away kids' school papers then Brittana and Desi came over to play.  We watched "Charlie Brown Christmas" that evening then after kids were in bed, Dan and I wrapped presents.

Thursday I went to an early doctor's appointment for my glucose test.  I passed, though I'm a little anemic and am now taking an iron supplement.
Dan was able to go to the TNT gun range with all the Webster men.  They had a blast shooting and then eating. :)
Anna played at Lizzie's house and I took the other three to do some final Christmas shopping.  I also worked on some clothes mending.  Once Dan got home, we decorated our gingerbread house.
After that, we drove around delivering our neighbor gifts.  Dan went ice skating with the youth and once kids were in bed we did more wrapping and prepped some food for the next day.
