March '19- Week 4- Muir Peter Pan, Kids Play Wedding, NFBD, Bethany BD Date, French Drain Backyard, Ben Bobcat Award, Ogden Girls Weekend,

Friday I got an adorable video of Alice playing peek-a-boo!
I also dropped down to nursing Alice only once a day. Anna played at Paisley's after school.  That night I took all the kids but Alice to see Muir Elementary's Peter Pan play.  Cousins Joe, Katie, and Whitney were all in it and did fantastic as an Indian, Lost Boy, and Pirate!
Saturday was a big clean up and organize day.  The kids all looked at their first year baby calendars as we went through a lot of our old stuff in the basement.  This also included my old school uniforms from England (Amberfield) and some stuff from our wedding (my bouquet).  So the kids played "wedding." Video here!
Here's all my old uniforms from when I was 9-10 years old.
I had McKenna try on my old England gymnastics stuff but she was too embarrassed to let us take a picture of her, so this is the best we got.
Ben set up a scavenger hunt for Dan on all the lamps throughout the house.
Bethany and Anna also traded rooms!  So now the "B Team" is downstairs together and McKenna and Anna share a room upstairs.  Mickelle babysat that night while we went to dinner and the temple with the Roths.

Sunday I sang "Jesus the Very Thought of Thee" in Sacrament meeting.  Our Come Follow Me lesson was about Peter Walking on water, which we acted out then we watched "Mary Poppins Returns."  Dan visited the Reudters and sadly McKenna had a hard time sleeping that night.

Monday I exercised and went on a ministering visit to Pugsley's.  I also worked on going through more of my boxes from the basement.  That night we had the Nelson Family Party for March BDs and Bethany was so excited to see Grandfather.  I also went to a meeting about Anna possibly trying out for the Expressions Dance company.
Tuesday I went to the last Jan Evans class.  Once Anna and Bethany were at school, I went to Verizon to get a new phone since mine had been acting pretty bad for a while.  Blackout screen problems.  It took longer than I thought (2 hours!), so I went straight from there to get the kids from school.  We had Quesadillas that night for dinner while we waited in line to see Mary Poppins at Adelaide.  There were tons of kids from our ward in it! (Ava Panter, Sam Moulton, Phoebe Reudter, Kory Brown, Maxwell Holdstock to name a few.)

Wednesday, we found these selfies of Ben on an old phone of mine that McKenna uses now when she babysits.  Such a goof!
I exercised and worked on getting a Costco picture order which part of it was the rest of Ben's baptism day pictures.  Ben came home not feeling well, and McKenna played at Lia's house.

That evening it was Bethany's turn to go on her BD date with Grandma and Grandpa and Mia!

They went to dinner, played at the park, and got ice cream!
And of course their snuggle blankets!
That night at went to book club at Megan Rowe's house and discussed "Grit."  I love this book and learned that it's never too late to start learning and becoming something new!

Thursday the kids had books and breakfast in the morning.  I visited Shelly, then I babysat Daisy and Rosie Behunin while Kylee went to the dentist.  Nate Behunin was also here to put in a french drain behind and seal up the crack in the retaining wall behind the patio room.
We also got a cabinet bid.  McKenna had Activity Days to go see Mary Poppins at Adelaide again.  We had Cub Scout Pack meeting and Ben got his Bobcat award.  He was so excited! He chose the roller coaster cheer.
 They played human fooseball afterwards.
That night I picked up Brynn and we drove up to Ogden for a girls weekend!
It started with games in the lobby.
Friday morning Dan sent a picture of the kids playing and getting ready.
In Ogden, we showered, ate breakfast at the hotel, then walked to the Ogden temple to do an endowment session.
Then we went on a shopping spree to Deseret Book
We changed clothes and had lunch at a Mexican place then walked over to the movie theater and watched a chick flick called "Isn't It Romantic" with Rebel Wilson.  I laughed out loud at a lot of parts and thought it was a great silly movie.  :)
We went back to the hotel and I pumped, went to the hot tub with Lara, Abril, and Swa, then we went to a Bungee fitness class and had a blast!  We had some extra spots in the class so I invited Rachael Alexander and Laura Lewis to join as well!
Afterwards, we went out for ice cream at Subzero.  We played more games in the lobby and ordered bruschetta.
Saturday I got up and ran 1.5 miles on the treadmill.  After breakfast we checked out of our rooms and headed over to Fat Cats to go bowling!  But first, we had to do our jumping pictures/boomerang videos.

We were happy Laurie could finally join us as well!  After bowling (my score was second to last), we had lunch at Roosters and then to pedicures!
We had yummy cupcakes in the parking lot then headed to shop at Gap! We ended our time together with dinner at Tepanyaki!
I'm so so grateful for a mother-in-law who spoils us and makes us feel like a million bucks!  I'm thankful for all of these woman I can call family and that always inspire me to be better.  I'm thankful we share the same standards and support each other wholeheartedly!
I drove home with Brynn and made it home just in time to say good night to the kids.  :)

While I was gone, Dan took such great care of the kids!  He even took the older three to open checking accounts! Look at Anna's cutest little signature. :)
Ben also had Immigration Day at school.  I was sad to miss it. He was "Serge" from Russia.

Sunday after church, the kids put on the "Sensational Sibling Circus!"  I love the alliteration in the name of each act as well as the refreshments set up in the kitchen!

After dinner that night we went on a walk.
We woke up to SPRING BREAK!

March '19- Week 3- More Peter Pan, Alice's 1 Year Check-up, Zoo/Ugurt, Park Day, Anna's BD Date,

Friday I met with Amy Hamblin to plan Primary Music stuff.  I took my car to Burt Brothers for an emissions test. After school, I had EVERYone take a nap!  We had so many recent late nights with the play that we all needed a little extra rest knowing we had two more late nights ahead of us.  Brooklyn Ulmer babysat Alice and we all attended the show! Dave and Laurie's family, Abril and Lola and Eli, Mickelle, Jonathan, and Ms. Walters all came to watch also.  McKenna said she was most excited to perform for her teachers. :)
Later, Dan went to a late night showing of Captain Marvel with Jonathan.
Saturday I went to an awesome Stake Women's meeting with Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four!  They played beautiful songs and bore strong testimonies.  I took a slow-mo video of Ben dropping some helicopter leaves.
After lunch, Mickelle babysat while Dan and I went to McKenna's matinee show.

McKenna stayed at the school for dinner with the cast while we went to In N Out with the other kids, did baths, then came back to the school for one LAST performance!  Once Dan was done flying McKenna, he took the other kids home to put them to bed.  I stayed to watch with Mickelle and also stayed after to help strike the set.
The Darling Family!
We gave McKenna a "Never Grow Up" necklace.  And I took a couple pictures of her on her bed and in the Lost Boys hide out.
They had a semi-professional photographer come take pictures during one of the dress rehearsals.

This video was from one of the dress rehearsal's for "I'm Flying!"
And here is a snippet of McKenna singing her main solo in the show "Distant Melody."

McKenna playing the part of Wendy Darling was certainly a growing experience for ALL of our family!  We all had to commit to support her and she had to learn/practice how to handle some pretty major stress and fatigue!  Overall McKenna loved it and had so much fun with the directors and her friends!

Sunday was my first time leading the music in Senior Primary and it was fun!  I love being able to watch Sis. Hamblin lead the Jr. Primary first, then I can basically do what she does.  :)  Dan's parents came over for dinner that night and playing games afterwards.

Monday the kids did not have school due to a snow make-up day they didn't need to use.  I got a picture of Alice nursing while up on her knees.  Silly wiggly baby! I did a lot of cleaning and laundry and listening to my book club book.  Ben went to Taggart's to play.
We packed a lunch and ate with Dan at his office.  After that, we went to Alice's 1 year check-up!

Alice Katherine 1 Year Stats!
Height: 28.1in (1.6in increase in three months) 12th%
Weight: 18lbs 15oz (3lbs 2oz increase in three months) 30th%
Head: 75th%

After that, we went to the Zoo with Grandma, Grandpa, Abril and kids, Winegars, and Katie and Clara!  We had beautiful weather and saw lots of animals.

Afterwards we met some of the husbands at Ugurt for pizza and dessert!
That night Dan and I did a little planning for our Spring Break.

Tuesday I exercised, went to Jan Evan's class and took my turn in the nursery again.  McKenna went to a BD party for Olivia Stock at Boondocks.  Bethany still had preschool.  Then Ben, Anna, Alice and I got "special juice and bread" for lunch and headed to 5 Points Park to enjoy some more beautiful weather!  Alice LOVED the swing!  Ben also made wood chip art. :)
In the afternoon, I planned some stuff about George Washington for a Kindergarten activity I was going to help with.

Wednesday I had a BAD headache to start the day.  Melissa Roth and I went ministering to Janel Barnes, then Alice and Bethany went to Grandma's house while I went to Anna's class to help with their Mount Rushmore Activity.  I made a George Washington Bingo game.  That afternoon, while Anna was at Let's Play Music, Brittana came over to play and I helped clean up the back yard a bit and the girls set up McKenna's fairy garden. They also spent some time in Jerry's tree house, then up to the Remington's circle to buy taffy and juice.

Thursday I exercised and Annie Wirthlin came over to play.  I also practiced singing at Rachael's.  Alice followed in the footsteps of her older siblings and began her job of emptying the kids dish drawer. :)  After school Ben FaceTime interviewed Grandma Sibber about what it means to be a hero.  It was a sweet conversation to witness as he asked her why she was so nice and kind to her grandchildren.  She got emotional a couple times and I hope she felt special knowing she is one of my kids' heroes!  Speaking of... :) Anna went on her BD date that night with Grandma and Grandpa and had a blast!  Dinner, dress shopping, and donuts!
Alice has some new pretty sweet dance moves too!
