November Wrap up

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we went to see the Lights at Temple Square. Thankfully, the kids were quite warm and bundled up in the wagon!

We started doing a few more home improvement projects. New blinds for Ben's room since the last ones were too short. That's the problem with buying them at a second hand store. What was written on the box (measurements) was not what was actually in the box.
Ben was being a good helper and McKenna took this picture and is enjoying learning how to use the camera. And yes, Dan is using a tiny Ikea stool...to reach something...which he can already easily reach. The humor in this picture is not lost on him.

Immediately after that shot, she tried taking another picture but it slipped out of her hand. SOOO glad this picture still took.

We also started pulling off the chair rail and wall paper seen here in Ben's room and were getting excited and motivated to start doing some new texturing, painting, window trim, and even bead board in the kids' rooms to help get ready for the new baby. Theeeen, our water heater died and put a screeching hault on all our planned projects... Oh well. Maybe in a few more months when we might have more funding.

Ben likes to play dress up. :) Or McKenna likes to dress him up.

Ben is still not talking at all but sure communicates well with his grunts and points. He points to himself when ever he wants to go somewhere with you or if he wants a turn to do something.

He also has a shoe fetish. These are my sister's adorable pink flats.

Fun in the Snow

We had a HUGE snow storm the beginning of November. It snowed for pretty much three days straight! There were still quite a few leaves on the branches which made us a little nervous about losing a branch or two. Thankfully, we only had a small one snap off. McKenna had quite a lot of fun while Benny was inside taking his nap. Her snow pants were a little too small, but she didn't seem to care.

A Halloween Post- Finally!

My mom was nice enough to stay home and pass out candy so we could all go trick or treating together as a family. Aunt Pickle came along too. :) I'm very thankful the weather was very pleasant, just like last year.

Just more than a full month behind. Soon I'll be caught up.

Thankful!

I know I haven't blogged about Halloween yet. But I needed to tell the blogging world (since we've already told the FB world) our exciting news!

On Thanksgiving, we announced we're "Thankful for #3!" We're due with our third baby June 23rd. Since I've gone over with the other two, this one might come pretty darn close to Dan's BD on the 30th.

So far, I'm feeling pretty decent. I haven't thrown up or been too exhausted. But it certainly seemed that as soon as I didn't have to keep it a secret anymore and "play tough," that I started feeling a little sicker and a little more tired.

Also, we're going to have the gender of the baby be a SURPRISE!! Well, a surprise for everyone but Dan. He's planning on finding out and keeping it a secret from the world for 20+ weeks. Good luck dude!
