Trip to Alabama!! -Part 1, The Traveling!

We took McKenna on her FIRST airplane ride to Alabama to visit my sister Emily and her lovely family! We had four airplane rides total. 2 there, 2 back. Luckily each one happened to be around the same time as her nap time! So she did a lot of this...
Not so comfortable for me, but I would much prefer this than to have a sreaming baby.
The helmet was quite nice to have in this instance. Her head could be wedged between my hip and the arm rest and she couldn't feel a thing. Here she is with daddy checking out the planes before boarding.
During the flights, she was pretty good to play with toys, snack on puffs and cheerios, and playing games like this with daddy using grandpa's old cell phone:

Looks like you guys packed a lot into this trip! Isn't it GREAT to spend that much time with family? McKenna is as darling as ever...she is such a Gerber baby!

How fun! I LOVE the shots of her totally conked out in your lap. She seems just as happy looking at the planes as she does looking at herself in the mirror. :) I agree with Alyson, that is a cute cell phone game!

Travelling with infants is always an adventure, especially on air planes. After Spencer turned three and was not longer allowed to travel on our laps for free, we brought his car seat so we could buckle him in, otherwise he would get out.

Glad the traveling went well. Believe me-I know how it is to travel long distances with a baby!! That is fun that McKenna's hair is growing. She looks super cute in all of the photos. That is nice she got to be with loving cousins.
