Home Improvement- Entryway

Before- Lovely wood paneling... NOT.
Dan tore it down, and the drywall behind was in pretty bad shape.
We had a professional come and "float" some new drywall on top of the old stuff.
Here it is primed and ready for texture color.  (Doesn't our light fixture cast some pretty cool light patterns?  Yeah, I'm ready for it to be replaced next.)
AFTER!!
I know it's hard to see the texture and the color we chose, but isn't it just WAY better than the wood paneling?  Eventually, we'd like to replace the banister and railings as well. One step at a time, right?
More home improvement installments to come.

so...i have some ideas for your door, when you get there. the house on the NE corner of carriage lane and heritage lane has a "curtain" of sorts for the window above it. and the house on 350 west, just past the "horseshoe" (in the 6th ward)--their mailbox says palmer--has a gorgeous front door, it's dark green but it's TALL.
anyway, just planning your home remodels for you ;)

It's just way better! And yes, one project at a time is my mantra. Been in this house 12 years and still have dozens of projects large and small. It's been slow goings, but there are so many things we've done.
