June 2022- Week 3- Ben Final Baseball, Hokulia, Neighbor BBQ, Chalk Art, Father's Day, McKenna FSY

June 15th- Wednesday: Dan slept really poorly. Alice came in sometime in the night. McKenna also woke up early feeling nauseous and couldn’t go running with Taylor Remington as planned. The girls had swim lessons again then I headed to my voice lesson. We both agreed I’m not quite ready to audition for the Tab Choir this year. The middle three went to Grandma camp. McKenna stayed home not feeling good. I had lunch then took Bethany to get a small cavity filled. Alice insisted on coming and holding her hand. It was so sweet! Once we got home, I took a nap. Alice came in around 3:30 whining about wanting applesauce, I said no, then she fell asleep on me! Anna and Desi had gymnastics. (Desi’s last time.) I prepped dinner and talked with McKenna. Dan picked up Mia from her Summer camp at the history museum then Adam picked her up here after his work. After dinner and baths, Anna left with Rachael and Desi to attend the "Les Mis" by Spotlight theater that Mabel was performing in. Dan and I got the van ready for Brynn to borrow. I stayed up late waiting for Anna.

June 16th- Thursday: Dan was up early to donate plasma. Brynn borrowed the van to go to Mantua with Truman and his Student Council friends.  Ben came with us to swim lessons. Anna slept in till 9! We went to Creekside park after that. It was pretty hot, so we didn’t stay long. After lunch, we worked on Father’s Day stuff. Brinley came over to hang out with McKenna. They made brownies. Anna napped for a long time!  I napped a little too. I packed a dinner and we headed to Ben’s final baseball game. It was the tournament and sadly, they lost. But Ben had two hits! We went to Hokulia afterwards!  The kids played for a bit once we got home. After they were in bed, I worked on a grocery order. Anna was up late.

June 17th- Friday: The girls had their last day of swim lessons and did great!  Bethany was recommended to move up. Alice was not and needs a little more practice with her back swimming and gliding. We bought candies afterwards. Zoe and Mack Martineau came to play. We went swimming at the Novak’s with Desi and Henry Alexander, Taylor Remington, and Kayla Koldewyn. It was super windy and hot, but we still had fun. We had some down time, Desi came over to play. McKenna went to babysit the Johnsons. The rest of the kids and I went to a BBQ at the States’. Scott and Kylee Nelson, Melissa and Jared Smith, Tanner and Marianna West, and another couple that moved into the Turley’s house were all there.  The kids played great and thankfully the winds died down.  Dan was downtown at UFC Chalk Art Festival. We got home around 8:30, Ben watered, and when we came in for bed time, Alice threw an epic tantrum refusing to get ready for bed.  We cleaned up the basement while she cried. I let it go too late. Then I finally got them to bed around 9:45/10. McKenna came home from babysitting around 10:30 and we listened on the monitor for the kids for another hour.

June 18th- Saturday: McKenna and I went running. We did the first mile together, then she walked home and I ran. Her stomach was bothering her again. After breakfast, we picked up groceries and Ben worked on editing Dan’s Father’s Day video which was interviews with the kids. We got home and I put stuff away while the kids worked on Father’s Day cards. Once I was ready for the day, we had lunch, then went to Layton to visit my family. We watched Domino stuff again, talked, and chilled. I got Taco Bell with the kids and then went to the Gateway in time for the awards of the Chalk Art Festival!  Dan Debenham from Relative Race was the emcee. We ate, danced, and then looked at the art. It was overcast and super windy!  The kids got to see Quinn and Maple Walker! We had treats in the hospitality room. When we got home, we put toys away in the basement and got kids to bed. I helped clean Ben and McKenna’s bathrooms. Ben finished editing the video. Dan and I talked while he ate.

June 19th- Sunday: I tried some new hair styles on Bethany and McKenna which made us a little late for church. It was a lovely Father’s Day! The Primary sang and Dan and I got to sit by each other in Sunday school! Dan also got a new calling to be the primary activity day boys leader. While our lunch cooked we gave Dan his gifts. After we ate we watched our Come Follow Me videos and showed him his Father’s Day video! McKenna packed for FSY.  Dan and I napped and then I had my family conference call. We set up tables and chairs and hosted the Webster‘s for Father’s Day and the June birthday dinner. It’s always great to be together! Everyone hung out for a long while and we didn’t get kids in bed until 10.

June 20th- Monday: We had big thunderstorms overnight!  I took Ben and Alice to their Summer camps, which they moved indoors due to the weather. Ben and Anna had piano. Ben stayed home with Boof, Alice and Anna came with us to drop off Katie, Whitney and McKenna at FSY at the U!  It took longer than expected, and we ate at Hires afterwards. I napped when we got home, then worked on mopping. The kids played outside some, then Ben helped me by vacuuming. Dan returned lots of stuff from Chalk Art.  We went on his BD date with his parents to Santorini, then we walked around Costco and bought a few things. We went back to Santorini’s for ice cream. While we were gone, the kids ate, unloaded clean dishes, and folded their laundry!  McKenna called to report about her day at FSY! After we put kids to bed, Dan and Ben started watching “The Hobbit,” because Ben finished reading the book!  I worked on the blog and we calendared some.

June 21st- Tuesday: Dan and I went walking. Ben and Alice had their Summer camps. The weather was great! Dan took Bethany and Anna to play pickleball for a bit. I listened to Marco Polos. Taggart came to play. He and Ben made paper Minecraft guys. Bethany had Rylee and Delilah over while Alice had Kaysen over. I got dinner going in the crockpot, then napped and worked on my YW lesson in my room. After friends left, the girls played Legos, and Ben played at the Johnson’s. After dinner, we went outside to do weeding and Dan worked on the sprinklers. We cleaned up the basement. McKenna’s call was very brief, but she said she danced with Maxwell Holdstock! Then after kids were in bed, I worked more on my lesson.
