June 2022-Week 4- More FSY for McK, Bee's Game, Anna's Birthday, Air Show, Mantua Swim Day, Dan's 40th Birthday!

June 22nd- Wednesday: I took Dan to Enterprise to rent a car for the day because he would be driving to Roosevelt and back for work. I exercised then got the kids ready. Ben and Alice had summer camps. I enjoyed talking with Sara Stewart and Chelsie Chadwick most of the time at the park.  The kids played, then the middle three went to Grandma camp, which was cooking day. I ate with Alice then practiced voice and showered. I went to my voice lesson then had some quiet time. Anna had gymnastics. I finally caught up and responded to my roommate Marco Polos. I picked up Anna and Dan. He did baths while I made dinner. I had YWs, which was the combined 5th, 6th, and 7th ward activity. We did outside games with creamies and music!  There was also a water fight!  Ben babysat because Dan had dinner with his high school friends for Chris’s Bd. Alice had a hard time going to bed. I worked more on my YW lesson.

June 23rd- Thursday: Ben and Alice had their last day of Summer camps. We stayed and played at the park a little afterwards. We took Taggart and the Winegars home. Ellie and Hazel came with us to get school lunch. Ollie didn't want to, so he stayed home. Anna went on her birthday date with Grandma!  We came back to our house to play with Ellie and Hazel. I worked on my lesson, then I left for a haircut. Ben babysat. Alice napped on me when I got home. Dan took the kids to Lowe’s to buy supplies for a roof rack for the van. After dinner, Ben and Alice played outside. Anna and Bethany played with some of Anna’s new birthday things. I worked on my lesson. Dan and Ben watched more of the "Hobbit." Alice and Bethany were both up late. McKenna called again from FSY!

June 24th- Friday: I went running. The kids and I ate, and then I left for my Thyroid ultrasound and blood work. After lunch, we tried to go swimming at the Gunnerson’s, but their pool heater wasn’t working, so the kids only lasted about 15mins because it was too cold. We hung out there for another 45mins though and then came home. I showered for the day and then Dan and I went to the temple to do Initiatories. We had dinner with the kids and then Dan and the kids picked up our groceries.  I read over my lesson, then we put kids to bed and set up for an adult outdoor movie night! We watched the 2nd (new) Jumanji. We had the Chadwicks, Mosses, Boes, Wests, Remingtons, and Rowes over. We talked for a while afterwards.

June 25th- Saturday: We got up by 7:30 to welcome McKenna home from FSY!  We snuggled and talked. After breakfast, Dan edged the lawn. Dan and I went with Anna to Get Air for her birthday date, then Wendy’s for lunch.  We bought donuts for her actual birthday on Sunday. Dan gave himself a haircut. Dan’s parents stopped by with some matching t-shirts for our Colter Bay camping trip coming up.  We decided to stay home from the Air Show because we were worried with the crowds that we wouldn’t make it back in time to go to the Bee’s game. The baseball game was so so fun!  There were two home runs, a wedding proposal, the wave went around the crowd a few times, and we won!  There were also fireworks afterwards and we sat with the Chadwicks who happened to be there!  We also ran into one of Dan's parents' missionaries Elder Lyman. (I want to forget about the yucky 20 something year olds behind us with the foul mouths.) We decorated for Anna’s BD!

June 26th- Sunday: Anna’s 9th Birthday! I taught a lesson about chastity in YW. I only had 4 girls there, but I feel like it went well! After lunch, we watched our CFM videos. My family had our conf. call early then we drove up to Layton to watch the second day of the Air Show with my dad. Even though we were somewhat far away, we got to see a few really cool tricks and formations!  We came home and ate outside for Anna’s sloppy joe birthday dinner. We watched "Relative Race" and put kids to bed then Dan and I worked on planning our family's camping menu.

June 27th- Monday: We slept in till 8!  McKenna, Ben, and Anna had piano. I started laundry then practiced voice. The kids were loving playing Anna’s new game, Guess Who! Dan took all the kids out to lunch at Costco with Jasper. I took Rachael Alexander to lunch for her birthday then I ran an errand to get some Bd decor for Dan. I played some games with Ben and Alice. I helped Anna fill out a form for the school’s summer reading program. Dan started prepping the unistrut for the DIY van roof rack. After dinner, we folded laundry and cleaned up a little.

June 28th- Tuesday: After breakfast, we headed up to Mantua for a friends swim day! We got there around 10 and set up chairs and shade tents. Rachael and Kylee came up first. The kids swam until 12. We had lunch, then the rest of the moms came: Meghan Johnson, Erica Day, Lindsay Moss, Chelsea Chadwick, and Laura Lewis. We cleaned up around 4pm and left by 4:45pm. Ben and Anna rode home with the Alexanders. Dan made dinner. McKenna and I showered then went to young womens where we finished working on our dance for girls camp. I had a meeting with the leaders afterwards and McKenna hung out with Korie and Brittana. Bethany was up late because she napped on the way home from Mantua. I typed up the choreography and sent it to Katie Brown.

June 29th- Wednesday: McKenna and I went for a run. After breakfast, Ben left with Caleb to go see a movie. I got ready for the day and then went to my voice lesson. The girls played nice. We had a lot of friends come over after lunch. Caleb and Luke for Ben, Jaylee and Millie for Anna, and Payton for Alice. McKenna also babysat Evy West while Mariana was at a doctor’s appointment. I worked on some blog stuff. McKenna, Ben, and Bethany went to Grandma camp where they made a rainbow craft and tried to crochet. Anna had gymnastics. I worked on the blog and napped. After dinner, Ben and Dan went on a hike with the Teacher’s Quorum. I took the three little girls to Smith’s so Bethany could pick out birthday gifts for two friends then we did baths and cleaned up toys. McKenna practiced her flute with Bridget for girls camp. I blogged more once kids were in bed.

June 30th- Thursday: Dan’s 40th Birthday!! We got lots of rain overnight and Alice came in our bed. We snuggled a lot in the morning. Dan saw his yard sign! After breakfast, we all got ready for the day and then went bowling at Boondocks! We listened to 40 year old songs on the way there in honor of Dan turning 40!  Dan won the bowling game of course! We all had lunch, then Bethany went to Maggie Chadwick’s birthday party. Dan and I napped. Then he had a work meeting and I finished doing the 40 things we love about Dan and the playlist. Dan and I left for dinner at Ruth’s Chris and drove his dad’s Tesla.  The timing worked out great. We made it back to the cul de sac at 7:40 and he was pretty surprised to see many friends, neighbors, and family there to celebrate!! We estimated 115 family and friends came for otter pops and creamies. We loved chatting with so many people we love! We finally got kids to bed by 10:30 and I could “come clean” and tell Dan everything I had planned. We talked about how thankful we were that of all the 10 houses closest to us, we love each of the people that live there! We're so lucky to have that many close neighbors we love! I'm so thankful for Dan in my life and I hope he felt celebrated!
