June '23- Week 4- Ben to Elephant Rock, Ben's Baseball Championship, Temple Open House, Mantua, Anna's BD, Les Mis, Charlie Puth, Golf Camp, Dan's BD

June 22nd- Thursday: Dan and I went to play Pickleball with Brynn and Brian. We each won one game. We went to the park for the girls’ last day of Summer camps. We came home and I went to my voice lesson. Ben went mountain biking with Truman to elephant rock!  I had lunch when I got home, then I went to get my thyroid bloodwork done. I worked on the computer in my room when I got back. The girls hung out together in the basement. I made dinner and Ben ate and went to baseball. We all ate and went to Ben’s game. They won!  Which meant they would go to the championship game with next night. Desi came with us and we got courtesy cones after. We played outside when we got home. Desi and Anna watched Princess Bride.  We got the girls to bed. I worked on a grocery order.

June 23rd- Friday: I ran 2 miles and enjoyed some quiet time outside stretching.  Dan worked from home and took Ben and Alice to lunch at Costco with Jasper. I ate with the three girls. Ben showered and ate. I started going through Anna, Alice, and Bethany’s clothes!  That job took until 12:15. Desi came over for a bit. We had lunch. I took Ben to film club and picked up Claire to play with Anna. McKenna went to Lagoon with Bridget and Adrie.  I showered and worked on my lesson. The Moulton girls came to play with Bethany. I picked up Ben from Film club and then McKenna from Lagoon. Claire left and we got pizza and headed to Ben’s last baseball game. They won the championship! Ben hit TWO doubles and made it home twice.  I’m so proud of Ben and how much he improved this season!  We went to Cold Stone to celebrate. We played outside when we got home and Dan worked on the kids’ bikes. We got kids to bed and I tried to blog but was too tired.

June 24th- Saturday: Dan and I woke up at about 6:45 and showered and got ready for the day. We ate and got all of the kids ready to go by 8:30. We drove to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house and met my parents there. The kids were all very reverent as we walked through and the temple was beautiful! Bethany, Anna, and Alice were very snuggly, which I think meant they felt the Spirit because they felt extra love. McKenna said she liked seeing people in the temple who maybe looked like the didn't "belong." People with tattoos and piercings and smelled like smoke. The temple can be for everyone! Afterwards, we ran into Tammy and Wayne Clayton from the stake. We ate snacks and treats on the way to Mantua. I napped a little in the car and looked over my young women lesson. McKenna worked on her talk for Sacrament meeting. We got to Mantua about 12:30. We helped move furniture out of the bedrooms and into the game room so they could get new carpet laid soon. We had pizza for a late lunch, then we worked outside. I weeded and Dan helped build a pergola to go over the pool pump equipment. The kids swam. We worked until about 5:30, then drove home. Brynn took McKenna home earlier to a friend’s house. We ate a little when we got home. Dan hung the street signs he ordered. I helped Bethany and Alice do showers and baths. Anna had a late night with Desi.  Dan worked on his talk.

June 25th- Sunday: We all got to sleep in (except Dan). I ate with the four younger kids. I showered and crimped Anna’s hair.  McKenna spoke in Sacrament meeting about youth conference. I gave the lesson in YW about the Atonement.  Dan spoke in Spring Wood ward about peace.  Ben stayed after for ward youth council.  We had lunch and I had my call. I tried to nap, then started on the chicken for dinner. Dan and Alice napped. We worked on our “Ta-Da” Summer list and watched a few of our videos. We ate dinner, then watched the rest of our videos and an episode of Relative Race. We put the girls to bed, though Bethany and Alice had a hard time. McKenna and Ben helped us with Anna’s birthday prep. Dan and I visited Rachael (and John) Alexander for her birthday. We got home and finished decorating for Anna's Birthday. Dan and I talked.

June 26th- Monday: Anna’s 10th Birthday! I exercised. Dan took McKenna to work. The girls and Ben ate and got dressed and we took Desi and the Moulton girls to a $1.50 movie “Amazing Maurice.” It was a strange movie that was more about rats than Maurice. We got home and Anna opened two presents from Desi and the Moultons. We had lunch, I made the sloppy joe mix for dinner, switched laundry, and then McKenna, Anna, Bethany and I left for Station Park. We stopped in Old Navy, Bath and Body Works, Claire’s, and McKenna bought Anna a Fizz drink. We got home and everyone changed for swimming at Winegar's. Dan got home and Anna opened her presents. We went to the Winegar pool for a Webster family swim night!  We had sloppy joes for dinner and then ice cream cake and donuts! Dan helped the Johnsons set up an outdoor movie for Tanner’s ½ birthday party.  We got the kids to bed and cleaned up a little.

June 27th- Tuesday: Dan and I overslept and didn’t make it for a walk. He took McKenna to her work again and I walked around the yard and cleaned up some candy and wrappers from Tanner’s party the night before. I fed Bethany and Ben and took them to their golf camp!  I ate with the A-team, cleaned the kitchen some, then I started cleaning the front porch.  I picked up McKenna and finished cleaning the porch. McKenna worked on her Summer gym class. We had lunch. I measured Anna and did her BD interview. Claire came over to hang out. Bethany played with Brooklyn Moulton. Alice had Philip Pugsley over. I showered. Ayla came to babysit. Anna went to gymnastics and Ben went mountain biking in Park city. Dan, McKenna, and I ate at MOD pizza, then we went to see Les Mis at the Eccles theater!  It was amazing!  I’m so grateful McKenna could go as well!

June 28th- Wednesday: I ran 2 miles. I took the golf camp kids to golf. Jake Webster was playing there and happened to take see the kids! I came home and ate with Anna’s and Alice. I picked McKenna up from work. I practiced voice. McKenna's friends Olivia and Lia came over. I showered. I did Anna's nails. Dan was at the Governor’s mansion doing interviews for the new Care Communities position. Luke and Harper Voehl came over while Jeanne took Max to a check up. I worked on dinner prep in the crockpot and getting Ben’s tinfoil dinner ready for YMs. The kids played well together and seemed to do a lot of Minecraft. After we took the Voehls home, I took Ben to the church for his young men’s activity. Dan and I ate with the three girls, because McKenna went to the Charlie Puth concert! She said it was amazing! After we ate, Dan left for a church appointment and I did showers and baths with the girls. The young women had an outdoor movie at our house that night watching High School Musical. We talked with McKenna when she got home!

June 29th- Thursday: I played pickle ball with Brynn, Brian and Grandma. Grandma and I lost every game, but we still had fun. I got ready for the day and Dan took McKenna to her camp job. I drove the golf camp kids and then went to the temple for an initiatory session. I came home and picked up Ben and then picked up McKenna from work. I took Ben to Liv’s house to work on film editing.  I worked on a grocery order, had lunch, then picked Ben up. Kaysen came over to play with Alice. I kept working on a grocery order and napped a little. I also called Mindy Jones to get more information about being an in-house sub at Legacy. McKenna went to Lagoon. I made dinner, and Dan took Ben to Park City for a ride, but they had to come back home because Ben’s bike tire needed repairs. Anna went on her birthday date with grandma and grandpa Webster. I did a little birthday prep for Dan. McKenna went to Adrie’s‘s house. After the girls were in bed, I worked on computer stuff, and Dan and Ben watched the Hulk.

June 30th- Friday: Dan’s 41st birthday! We slept in. I ran 2 miles then took the kids to golf. Dan had a work meeting virtually. Dan and I went to lunch at Santorini’s.  We took Ben to film club. We napped. We picked Ben up, then went to Top Golf (or "golf top" according to Alice) with my parents.  The kids loved it!  We met Mickelle and ate out at Wingers. McKenna went to a friend’s house and the rest of us played outside for a bit. Dan helped Alice learn to ride a big bike. We got the kids to bed and watched “A Man Called Otto.”  A sad but good movie. I’m so thankful for Dan in my life!

June '23- Week 3- Stake Youth Conference, Father's Day, Door Dash, WX City Summer Camps, Grandma Camp, YW Karaoke

June 15th- Thursday: I woke up around 3am thinking about youth conference. I woke up a little after 5am to shower. We went to the Moulton’s by 6:15. We ate and got on the road and made it to camp by 8:30. We got slowed down by some cows too. We waited around a little bit and then started setting up our tents and unloading food stuff. We started prepping the lunch tables by 10am and had it ready by 11:15. The first meal went very well! After cleanup, we set up and decorated for the luau which would be catered by another company. We went to an orientation meeting with the missionaries and then the kids had classes. I wandered around to a few of them. John Alexander and the other stake YM leaders taught about how a testimony grows like a fire and starts with a spark. I also attended the Farnes' whole class which was about the Atonement and was powerful as always. The food committee distributed snacks in between the classes. The dinner luau went very well! They had a fun photo booth set up. The dancers and entertainment were amazing! We were lucky enough to have a devotional that evening by Bonnie Cordon. She spoke more about the theme, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." She had 1o kids come up and explain why their one word from the theme was most important. It got pretty chilly towards the end. We went back to our campsites and got ready for bed. I used the small sink in the kitchen to wash my face at night. My own personal "bathroom." I got to talk with McKenna a little bit. Cari Mitchell and I stuck together most of the day and slept in tents right by each other.

June 16th- Friday: I got up at 5:15am and got dressed. All the food committee helped Bart cut potatoes and fruit and crack eggs. Everyone came to eat around 8am. After breakfast, everyone packed their sack lunches for the day and they went to their morning devotional and classes. I hung out at the pavilion and chatted and then walked around a little bit. I went to the whole young men’s class this time about keeping our testimony burning! I hung out at the pavilion again for a little bit. The class McKenna helped with was "The Price is Right" where they had everyone guess the value of some things that were auctioned off, and then asked what they would pay if McKenna were being auctioned? They tied it together talking about our infinite worth to Heavenly Father! I went on the faith walk, which was a beautiful experience. You read quotes along the way all about how Jesus loves you, then when you reached a mural of the Savior in the Garden of Gethsemane, you received a personalized letter from Him. It was a definite spiritual highlight! I ate my lunch, and then the committee helped Bart prep dinner things: potatoes, cobbler, and the salad. We had a little mishap with the cobbler mix spilling on the ground, but we recovered by making more and moving some gravel around to cover up the spill. I felt a headache coming on, so I took some pills and laid down for a bit. The tent was actually a little too hot. We prepped more dinner things and still ended up having the food be about 20 mins late. Everyone loved it, though. We went to Pres. Farnes’ final devotional where we did a balloon release!  Everyone tied a piece of paper onto a balloon string with something written on the paper that said what they would do to draw closer to Christ. Releasing the balloons connected heaven and earth. I said I would study about Him more! The food crew cleaned up more, then we went to our own wards and enjoyed a testimony meeting. I shared the experience we had during planning where we talked about the things the camp had to offer as far as the spiritual activity goes (like an iron rod, etc.). I said that we should focus on the stories from the New Testament, and maybe even look up what the lesson would be in Come Follow Me the week we would be at camp. The study for the week of youth conference was set to be about Gethsemane!  The person on the committee over the spiritual activity at camp was an artist in our stake named Lena Philips, who happened to be working on a life size painting of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane!!  This testified to me that the Lord’s hand has been guiding the planning of this conference since day 1! I was also touched by several of the youths’ testimonies. They loved the faith walk and the workshop about relating our testimony to building a fire!   Afterwards Brennan Koldewyn led the youth in a funny chant. Other things to remember from camp: Kevin DeAngelo accidentally tripped on a rock and fell onto the fire ring and burned his hand. Scary, but he was very lucky it wasn't worse!

June 17th- Saturday: I woke up around 6:15am. It was so hard to wake up! We got breakfast ready by 7:45. They had muffins, yogurt, granola, berries, and we set out lots of the other left over food!  We cleaned up and Cari and I drove home by 9:30am with McKenna, Korie, and Brittana. We unloaded and texted all the Bishops to tell them they could come get food for ward members in need. Dan and I sat in the garage for a couple hours, snacking, distributing food, talking, and putting camp stuff away. I started laundry and showered. I worked on unpacking. Anna and Bethany played with Ellie, Clara and Mia. Ben played with Oliver. Dan took Ben to clean the van. Hazel came to play with Alice. McKenna showered, did laundry, and worked on her summer gym class assignments. Dan and I talked with Jeanne Voehl about Max’s surgery when she dropped off Luke. Caleb over to hang out as well. We had pizza for dinner. I also got some pictures of what Dan and the other kids did while McKenna and I were gone. They went to a car show (got to see a burn out), went to his work, lunch at Costco, Ben got a haircut, and did some Saturday cleaning chores.

June 18th- Sunday: Father's Day! I ate with the three girls. Bethany and Anna showered. I showered. Dan gave himself a haircut and played games with Bethany. The primary kids sang in Sacrament Meeting. Darin Cundick taught the Sunday School lesson. We stopped by the “dungeon” after church to put some rags away. We came home and had lunch and gave Dan his gifts. I had my conference call and then napped a little. We went to the Webster’s for dinner and games and watching golf. I got the three girls to bed by 10. Dan and I did some calendaring. *We're so grateful for Dan being the Father of our home. It was hard to fully celebrate him after being so tired from youth conference.

June 19th- Monday: I got up at 6:30 to exercise. Then I got the three girls ready for their WX city camps. We got there by 8:30 for McKenna to work. I did the girls’ hair and they played a little before their camps started. Bethany went to yoga and Alice went to Park Pals. Anna played and I listened to my book. The second hour, Anna went to her basketball camp and lots of friends started showing up for their camps. I saw Kylee Behunin, Meghan Johnson, Mariana West, Lucinda Wade, Jordan Ames, Emily Hartvigsen, Rachael Alexander, and Chelsea Chadwick. Dan had work off for Juneteenth, so he and Ben came later and tried to play Pickleball, but it was super windy and the courts weren’t available. We got Keva Juice and GH bread for lunch. We all went outside to weed and Dan trimmed bushes. I made some phone calls, emails, and napped. Dan helped the girls dust and fold laundry. We had grilled cheese for dinner, then went to Ben’s first tournament game for baseball. They won 13-8!  My parents came too. I left early to take McKenna to Adrie’s, then I went to book club at Laura Lewis’s house. We discussed the book “The Girl With 7 Names.” It was about a girl to defected from North Korea.

June 20th- Tuesday: Dan and I went walking from 7 to 7:30. I ate with the girls and then we headed to the park with Adrie for summer camp. When we got there, we found out it had been canceled because the ground was too wet. It had rained, AND they ran the sprinklers. Once we got home, I went in my room and worked on planning some things for Anna’s birthday. The kids did piano. I went to Costco to make food returns, then took my receipt to the Vandenberg’s for youth conference reimbursement. We had lunch. We fed Desi, and McKenna, Adrie, and Bridget ordered door dash from McDonald’s. I cleaned up lunch, and practiced voice with Ben. He helped me try to figure out how to record my Tab Choir audition songs and merge them into one file. I worked on my YW lesson as well and tried to nap. I took the three little girls, plus Desi and Kaysen to Hatch Park. Laura Lewis, Danielle States, and Chelsea Chadwick all came as well. I made dinner. Anna had gymnastics. Dan took Ben and Truman to their bike ride in Park City. I ate with Bethany, Alice, McKenna and Adrie. Bridget came back over as well. The primary presidency came to visit the three girls. I moved pictures off my phone to the hard drive. The girls got ready for bed, then practiced piano again. Dan and Ben got home. We got everyone to bed. I kept moving pictures the hard drive and started uploading videos as well.

June 21st- Wednesday: I showered before taking the kids to camps at the park. We drove Desi and Billy there. It was also our day to watch Mia, so Pidi dropped her off there at the park to me. Once Bethany was done, I took her to piano. I enjoyed talking to other moms at the park. Anna and McKenna went to piano once we got home. I practiced voice. We had lunch. The kids all went to Grandma camp.  I worked on my YW lesson and napped. The kids got home. I worked on computer things at the kitchen counter. Mia got picked up by Adam.  I made dinner and we ate before McKenna and I left for YWs. We had a class activity that was a karaoke night at Brittana's!  It was lots of fun! McKenna stayed and hung out a little after the activity. Dan went with John Alexander to give Ethan West a blessing before his jaw surgery. I got the girls to bed and worked on the blog. Ben worked on some card magic tricks. Dan worked a little once he got home.
