th- Thursday: I subbed in Alice’s class as the instructor. I did two reading groups and a math group, then recess duty. It was so cold and windy and sprinkling rain, so it was not fun. Thankfully, lunch recess was inside, so I wandered the halls and checked on teachers if they needed a break. I had my own lunch. I went to the kindergarten team meeting where they discuss the groups and if any kids need to be moved up or down. I helped in the classroom the rest of the day and was the crossing guard out front. Once we got home, Bethany went to Activity Days where they painted. McKenna wasn’t feeling well. She seemed to have the same cold I had two weeks earlier. I napped. Dan and Ben go to go to the Jazz game. I ate with the girls and took Bethany and Alice to gymnastics before I went to choir school. I worked on a grocery order once I got home.
th- Friday: I subbed in Anna’s class! I got there a little later because Alice wasn’t feeling well that morning and needed a little more time to get ready and take some meds. Anna’s class was fun! I think some of the kids wished I would have been more strict, but it’s hard for me to enforce ALL the classroom management. McKenna stayed home sick from school with a bad cough. I napped when we got home. Desi came over. Ben played on the computer. Alice napped on me briefly. We had left overs for dinner, then I went to the Pugsley’s for an EQ activity with Jake Brown. He talked about his job taking care of clearing snow in one of the Cottonwood canyons. It was awesome! I came home and the kids were watching “Descendants 3.” I got the kids to bed and FaceTimed Dan who was in Roosevelt for a Care Communities meeting. That night, I had a rough night with Alice. She came in around 2:45am and had pooped in her underwear. She stayed with me the rest of the night and threw up once and pooped in her underwear again. Poor girl wasn't feeling good!! Neither of us slept much.
th- Saturday: I finally got up to feed the kids at 9:30 and had very low patience since I didn’t sleep well. I showered and went to Val Smith’s funeral. It was touching to hear her older adult children talk about their wonderful mother. Once I got home, we had lunch and Dan got home from Roosevelt! We returned the rental truck and picked up groceries. I also got new sunglasses since mine broke. Desi came over to hang out. I napped. Dan took Ben to Luke’s and didn’t feel well for a bit. McKenna and I got Panda Express for everyone for dinner. The girls did their showers. I practiced music for an hour+. Dan helped Anna write her talk for primary. We got the kids to bed and worked on McKenna’s 10th grade course request.
th- Sunday: Sacrament meeting was lovely. There were three talks (Kirk Pugsley, Rachael Alexander, and Bart Nelson) all about the Book of Mormon. Anna gave a great talk in Primary! We had lunch and watched our videos. Dan and I took a two hour nap which was greatly needed!! Dan played games with the kids while I had my family call. We went to Layton for dinner with my family. My mom felt well enough to attend church and host us! We had French toast. We talked about Tab Choir stuff where I shared some of the experiences I've been having. We played a couple rounds of Uno Attack. We got the kids to bed around 10:15 since they didn't have school the next day.
th- Monday: I exercised from 8:30-9:30. Alice and Anna came in the gym with me for a while. We all ate and did CFM. I started laundry and then showered (with other cleaning along the way). Ben woke up sick with the same cold McKenna had. He took meds and went back to bed and felt a little better. McKenna showered and worked on some homework. We all had lunch. McKenna drove to Adrie’s. Oakley Petersen came over to play with Alice. I napped then worked on music. Dan worked from home in the morning and afternoon, but he was in Ogden for a couple hours over lunch. We folded laundry and prepped to host the young adults. We had a taco bar and enjoyed talking and a spiritual thought. We each said our highs and lows for the day and then talked about how we can stand up for our beliefs and the Gospel. We got the kids to bed and cleaned up the kitchen. Ben and Dan lifted.
th- Tuesday: McKenna and Ben got themselves off to school. My elementary girls did not have school all week. Dan and I went to the temple for an endowment session from 8:30-11:30. The three girls were home alone and did great. *I always pray my kids will be ok while Dan and I are gone at the temple, and they are! One of the many blessings of temple attendance. Dan left for work. I ate lunch with the girls. They played on the computer some. Anna’s friend Oakley came over. Bethany and Alice went to the Leonardo museum with the Moultons. I prepped chicken for dinner, and then the chocolate pudding and Oreos for the “cup of dirt” dessert. I napped and then worked on picture collages. I picked up the older two from school. I worked on picture collages and the blog a little. *Being in the family room helped me to be present in hearing about everyone's day instead of just being in my room and the kids come to me. I worked some on music. I started making dinner, then I went with Alice to Let’s Play Music. McKenna finished making dinner for me. Dan picked Adam and Mia up from the airport from their Brazil trip. McKenna babysat for Emmy Johnson next door. Alice and I ate and then I went to a RS game night activity! It was lots of fun to socialize and be with those church friends. I took the game “Just One” and played with Joan Betts, Christine Hall, Steff Holdstock, Amy Pugsley, Sarah Moulton. We also played “Bananagrams.” Dan and Ben played Pickleball at the Monarch building with the EQ. Once I got home, we got the girls to bed. We talked with McKenna some. Dan started packing for his upcoming Western States trip/cruise!!
st- Wednesday: I exercised, then drove McKenna and Ben to school. I ate with the girls. They got dressed and had a lot of screen time! I showered, napped, then helped Bethany with part of her Pollyanna book report. After lunch, I worked on music while Alice had more screen time, and Bethany and Anna were at piano lessons! Once they got home, there was fighting about computer time. (Too much screen time overall! Oops!) I worked on music more. My mom briefly stopped by after her dentist appt. I picked up Ben. I went through Alice’s school papers with her then made dinner. McKenna and Ben went to the stake youth activity with fun games and pizza! After dinner, Bethany and Alice had showers. I kept working on music after the girls were in bed. Dan and Ben lifted and McKenna worked on homework.
