Nov. 16th- Thursday: I exercised once everyone left. I ate and took McKenna and her friends McDonald's food for a class discussion they were going to have. I showered and napped. Dan and I went to lunch at Spanky’s, then an endowment session at the temple! It was a lovely afternoon date. We got home around 3:30. The kids were doing homework and piano. Anna hung out with Desi. I helped Alice with homework. McKenna had piano. We ate and I took Bethany and Alice to gymnastics. McKenna babysat for Grey. Dan worked late. I cleaned the fish bowl (Ben helped me). Sadly, I accidentally killed one of the fish. Once kids were in bed, I worked on a grocery order. Anna had a cough.
Nov. 17th- Friday: I subbed in Kindergarten (Mrs. Lee). The class was pretty good overall. Nothing crazy to report. I napped once we got home. I got Ben and Anna ready for their call time. We were a little late because Anna couldn’t find her base costume. Bethany went to see Lion King at the school with Activity Day girls. The rest of us went to Grandma and Grandpa’s to make posters for Emma and eat Pizza. Dan went to an adoption conference for work. McKenna had Katie and Whitney sleep over in the theater room. Anna had a bad cough and couldn’t sleep. *My mom went to the hospital with low oxygen from Covid and a UTI.
Nov. 18th- Saturday: We got up at 8 and showered and ate and got to the airport around 10. Emma finally came out of the gate around 10:30! It was so good to see her and hug her! Bethany cried the most! Dan, McKenna and I also cried and Anna said she was close. We got lots of pictures. We got home and I helped the girls go through their back packs and school papers. We also threw our pumpkins down the gully. Ben left for “White Christmas” at Centerpoint with Caleb. McKenna babysat Grey and brought her here to make muffins and play on the silk. Alice didn’t feel very good and laid on the couch and watched a lot of shows. She and Anna had coughs and Alice possibly has pink eye that we were watching to see if it got worse. Dan picked up groceries and a cake for me. I napped and worked on computer stuff. Dan napped in the theater room with Bethany watching a show. McKenna showered and made spaghetti with Adrie before going to a “Friendsgiving” dinner. I got Anna ready for call time. I drove her and got pictures of her in her Fiona and Tink costumes. I met Dan and Bethany and Alice for dinner at Wendy’s, then I attended Shrek again! Grandma and Grandpa Webster and Lola and Eli came too. They did great again and I’m always so proud of them! I cleaned the kitchen when we got home and prepped fruit for Emma's homecoming. Ben and Anna showered. McKenna got home and told us all about some friend drama that happened.
Nov. 19th- Sunday: We went to Emma’s homecoming! She gave a great talk and told how she grew closer to Christ in each area she lived in on her mission. We had food back at Dave and Laurie’s house. We left to attend our own ward. The YM were singing and we also had a linger longer with pie after church to celebrate 50 years of our ward being organized. I napped afterward. We had dinner at Grandma's. I also had Prelude rehearsal.
Nov. 20th- Monday: We got up and ready and left for 8:30 dentist appointments. No one had cavities!! I took McKenna and Ben to school. I made lists for the three girls of things they needed to get done since they had no school. I switched the laundry and then got on the computer. We went to lunch at Costco with Jasper. We got a carwash. The girls played with Brooklyn and Zaza. I napped and tried to work on my talk for Sunday, but the internet was being dumb. I took Bethany to Backstage. Ben went to Luke’s. Anna had gymnastics. McKenna visited Caroline, who had recently had surgery, and then came home and did homework. I made quiche for dinner. Dan picked up Anna. McKenna left for rehearsal. After we ate, I folded my laundry and then went to book club at Erica Day’s where we discussed The In-Between book written by a hospice nurse. Ben and Dan made some no-bake peanut butter granola cups.
Nov. 21st- Tuesday: Dan got up with McKenna and Ben and got them off to school. I exercised and ate with the girls. We all got ready and left by 11:15. We checked McKenna and Ben out of school early. We had lunch at Dan’s office, then drove down to the Orem Temple open house. The temple was beautiful and had so much color! It was also very busy and there were LOTS of kids/toddlers/babies going through the same time as us, so it was a little noisy. We drove home and had a family meeting about extracurricular activities after Christmas and we told the kids we’re going to Disneyland over Christmas break!! There was lots of jumping and screaming! Dan left for a work thing. We all did our own things for a while, then I made dinner. After we ate, we watched “Remember the Titans.” I love that movie! We got the girls to bed and I worked on my talk for Sacrament meeting.
