Nov. '23- Week 2- Bethany in Frozen, Mountain Bike Banquet, Shrek Performance!, Friend Pie Night, Alice Lost 2nd Tooth, Stake Youth Activity
Nov. 8th- Wednesday: I subbed at the Jr. High again. This time in Ms. Carter’s ELA class. The 8th graders had a less fun lesson than the 7th graders. The 7th graders had a fun web quest trying solve a murder mystery of Edgar Alan Poe. They were engaged the whole time! Kaysen came home with us and played with Alice. I napped and Anna and Bethany had piano. Once they got home, I got Bethany ready for her call time for Frozen. Ben had piano and went to Taggart’s afterwards. I made dinner in the instant pot. McKenna, Anna, and Desi ate before leaving for Activity Days and rehearsal. I ate with Alice. Bethany said her show went well but she was very embarrassed she forgot her black shorts as part of her base costume. Lara, Hailey, and Sophie attended the play! Dan and Ben ate and Ben had a raking/service YMs activity. For YWs, we went to the Oakridge Assisted living center. We sang a song and then played Bingo with them. The two girls got to bed and I picked up McKenna and helped her with her course request.
Nov. 9th- Thursday: I exercised after everyone left. I ate and then got dressed and went to McKenna’s CCR appointment with her counselor to talk about her 10th grade year and classes. I went to the grocery store afterwards and accidentally locked the keys in the car. Thankfully, Dan was home and was able to came and rescued me! We got the van tires filled up, then went to lunch at Sweeto Burrito. Road side assistance came and unlocked the car for us. I napped when we got home. I had a temple initiatory appointment. Dan picked up the kids. I showered and then did Ben and Anna’s hair and makeup for their last dress rehearsal. Bethany got a huge leaf on her Echo Walk at school. I snuggled Alice for a while when we got back because she was upset she would have to miss gymnastics due to Ben's mountain biking banquet. I picked up Ben and Anna but got to see some of Act Two before we left. They did awesome and it made me excited to see the show the next night. We ate dinner at the banquet, watched a slide show, and watched people get awards. Ben won a raffle and got a bike pump. We got the kids to bed and I worked on a grocery order.
Nov. 10th- Friday: I subbed in 6th grade in Ms. A’s class. Mickelle came to the school Hero’s lunch and ate with all three girls! I checked Bethany out early and left around 2:45 since the 6th grade had electives last period of the day. We got home and I did her hair and makeup for her show. I also did Anna’s hair and makeup, and we all left for Bethany’s performance. She did awesome! We had dinner at Jimmy John’s in Centerville, then we went back to Backstage for Ben and Anna’s performance! They all did so well and I had a blast watching them shine! We're so grateful for family who came to support them as well. Once we got home, we got kids in bed and hung out. McKenna got home from a friend’s house and we told her she was keeping the iPhone. She was so excited!
Nov. 11th- Saturday: McKenna left for her rehearsal. Dan took Ben film club. The rest of us got ready for Laurel Moss’s baptism. It was a lovely service! When we got home, Dan worked on vacuuming the basement with the A-team. I picked up Ben, got gas, took Bethany to get a gift for a friend, then picked up groceries. We had lunch and put groceries away. McKenna and I cleaned and cleaned. She did her bathroom and the shower, and I did the kitchen. Dan helped and he also watched some of the Utah football game on TV. Ben hung out with Tanner Johnson some. Anna played with Desi. Bethany went to a birthday party for her friend Lucy at Mountain West Gymnastics. Anna also went to Claire's and then Dan took Ben and Anna to Backstage to watch the other cast of Shrek perform. Alice and Bethany had showers and baths. We got them to bed and we had friends over for a pie night! The Wests, Johnsons, Chadwicks, Pugsleys, and Moultons. We never got around to games, but we had fun with everyone! *Alice lost her second bottom tooth, and we lost it again so she couldn't put it under her pillow. So we wrote a note to the tooth fairy.
Nov. 12th- Sunday: Dan had early meetings. I ate with the three girls. Ben and McKenna woke up at the end of our breakfast. Anna showered. I looked over FB comments on my choir post. I showered and got ready. McKenna had a hard time hearing Ben play with the girls. The Pugsley children sang in Sacrament meeting and it was so sweet and tender. It was called "My Own Sacred Grove." The two talks (Tuikka and Brent Taylor) were also great about what they believe about Jesus Christ. They shared miracles and stories from their life that helped build their testimonies. We had lunch and I napped a little before my family call. Ben, Anna, and Bethany made their last Crunch Labs kit. Dan and Anna left for a work event/fireside in Lehi about Care Communities. We had dinner and I took Ben to stake orchestra. McKenna and I finished watching “Wild Hearts Can't be Broken” and she also worked on vocabulary homework. Bethany and Alice played. I went to Prelude rehearsal.
Nov. 13th- Monday: I subbed as an instructor in Ms. Voss’s class. It was a pretty easy day with good weather for outside recess duty. A boy named Mason told another boy, Ethan, that he had a gun and was going to shoot him. So I took Ethan to report it to the principal. They told Ethan he did the right thing by reporting it and they talked to Mason. It was sad to hear a first grader talk like that. :( We also had a fire drill. I napped when we got home. I took Anna to gymnastics and Alice (and Meg) to music. Luke came over to hang out with Ben. I started dinner, picked up Anna, then finished making dinner. We sorted laundry and a I had a hard time with Alice doing what I asked. We ate and cleaned up. Dan got home a little after 8 and we met with Cari, Neil, Dan, and Lindsey Moss to talk about the Christmas food pantry cul de sac party.
Nov. 14th- Tuesday: I exercised after everyone left. I showered and got caught up on Marco Polo. I napped and then did some scheduling. I had lunch and then went to Smith’s Marketplace to look for Christmas PJs. I also got to talk to Jonathan for a bit while I shopped! I got home the same time as the kids. I took McKenna to get a new base costume leotard. We had lasagna for dinner. Ben and Anna left for call time for Shrek. I had a presidency meeting and then the Stake Youth activity which was minute to win it games. It was so loud my ears felt like they were ringing when we left. I picked up Ben and Anna from Backstage. Dan watched Loki.
