Jan. '24- Week 3- Sledding!, Bethany in Assembly, Alice Writing, Jeff Jarvis Funeral, Girls' Giant Fort, Alice Sick.

th- Monday: We had no school due to MLK Jr. Day. We slept in a little and then I exercised. I ate and cleaned up the laundry room a little. The kids played on the computer and got dressed and practiced piano. We all went to lunch at Costco with Jasper. We picked up the pop-up camping trailer which had finally been fixed. We picked up Luke Voehl and Brooklyn Moulton and went sledding at Eaglewood. Some of the Winegar’s joined us also.  I'm always thankful when no one gets hurt. Luke stayed till 7 and had dinner with us. Desi also came over to hang out. I wasted time on my phone, did some things on the computer, and napped a little. Dan took McKenna driving after she had worked on homework for a while. After we ate, we folded laundry and watched "Encanto." I cleaned the kitchen. After the girls were in bed, Dan and I watched “A Quiet Place II” with Ben and McKenna. It's a super suspenseful movie!  And now, according to our agreement, Dan has to watch "The Barbie Movie" with me. :)

th- Tuesday: I watched the news after everyone left for school. I napped a little. I ate and showered and listened to General Conference talks, the BoM, and Don't Miss This.  I went to my dermatologist appointment and everything looked good with my skin. No concerns and nothing to freeze off! Then I went to get my haircut with Sara Stewart. I had lunch and then got caught up on Marco Polos. I napped a little and worked on the blog. I chatted with each kid once they got home. Bethany had her friend Lucy Peterson over to play. McKenna exercised. Ben went on his birthday date with Dan’s parents. I made dinner and we ate. Anna had Activity days with her new leaders, Amanda and Sue Koldewyn.  They made pancakes. I went to my first chorale rehearsal. It was so awesome!  We sang so much and everyone sounded so good!  I talked more with my new choir friend, Amber.

th- Wednesday: It snowed so it took us a little longer than normal to get to school. Bethany participated in the assembly by talking about how she is courageous.  She said she’s courageous by letting me do her hair when it hurts and she tries not to get mad at me. :) I bounced around during the day when teacher’s had IEP meetings. I also did lunch and inside recess duty in the gym. I took a picture of Anna and Claire who were matching. The girls had piano, Kaysen came home with us to play with Alice. I shoveled snow, did dishes, and then picked up piano and jr high kids. I tried to nap. Anna and Bethany went to Clara’s to play. Ben walked home from piano. I helped Alice a little with homework. Ben and I shoveled more. Alice played in the snow with Zaza. I made dinner. Ben ate and went to a presidency meeting. The rest of us ate and McKenna went to the youth activity. The girls had showers and baths.  After the girls were in bed, I worked on music and going through some emails. Dan worked on his talk for Jeff Jarvis’s funeral.

th- Thursday: I subbed in music. We had a fire drill and I was with the kindergarteners at the time. They ran past one exit to go to their normal doors. So I had to point out to them they need to go to the closest door! Bethany had activity days after school. I ate and got ready to go to choir a little earlier than normal due to my dress fitting. I chose a ribbon for my choir dress hangers. McKenna had piano in the evening and the girls had gymnastics. That night in choir school, we got to listen to 30mins of the choir rehearsing upstairs. Sis. Wilberg lectured about the biology of our vocal instruments. Dan had to take Anna to the store to get a gift for a friend's birthday.

th- Friday: I subbed in music again. The younger classes were hard to keep engaged and I tried to be strict with them and they just didn’t care.  Kind of frustrating. I napped when we got home. Dan took McKenna and Ben to the temple for baptisms. I got dinner going and then took Anna to Aubrey’s party at Get Air.  Anna had some friend drama after school, but seemed to be doing better after the party. Dan and I went to dinner at Neilsen’s and talked about Jeff Jarvis’s funeral and Dan’s talk. We got the girls to bed and Dan worked on his talk and I did some computer things and wasted time on my phone.

th- Saturday: We got up at 9 and ate. We showered and I took Ben to film club. I finished getting ready and took Bethany and Alice to a make-up gymnastics class.  McKenna, Dan, and I attended Jeff Jarvis’ funeral. Dan spoke and did an excellent job! Anna stayed home and built a fort with Desi.  Brynn picked the girls up from gymnastics for me. I took Anna to basketball practice, then picked up groceries. We also made some Amazon returns at the UPS store. Ben went to Luke’s and then to Centerpoint for a play with Caleb and Luke (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). We napped a little, and then I went to visit Jenni Hohl and give her some Wild Rose bread as a thank you for being my voice teaching and helping me get into the Choir. We talked for an hour ish and I told her all I’m learning. We went to Dan’s parents’ house and hung out and played games for the evening. Bill loves hanging out with Ben. Anna went to Desi’s and McKenna babysat the Mudrow girls.

st- Sunday: We were on time for church, but Dan stayed home with Alice due to her not feeling well. She had low appetite, felt a little warm, and was coughing. McKenna drove home. We had lunch and watched line upon line. Dan and I talked about the Yellowstone trip. I had my family call. I got a bad headache. While we were waiting for dinner to cook, we watched the live action BoM videos. After we ate, we watched Relative Race. We put the girls to bed and I helped McKenna put on fake nails. I also worked on Anna’s Valentine’s with her. My headache still wasn’t any better. I did some online shopping for new bras.
