Sept. 23rd- Saturday: I woke up with a coughing fit a little before my alarm. I got ready, ate, and had nervous tummy. I left the house by 8am. I parked at the Conference Center and walked to the Tabernacle and ran into my friend Holly Dixon on the walk there. She and I sang in Lex DeAzedevo’s choir together and she was testing too! The test started at 9am. I felt like each section got progressively harder. I also saw two more familiar faces once we were in the testing area but didn't really talk to either of them. I left a little after 12 and made it home in time to change, grab food, and leave for our drive to see the salmon run! We picked up McKenna from volleyball and drove to Strawberry Reservoir. We saw tons of fish, but they were mostly all in the hatchery. It was beautiful weather and we saw beautiful Fall colors in the mountains as well. We drove home through Guardsman’s pass and Big Cottonwood canyon. Ben went to Luke’s, McKenna babysat the Johnsons. Dan and I took the three girls to Lewis Park and ate street tacos in the car while they played. I talked more with Dan about the Tab Choir test and processed things more. We got the girls to bed, I blogged, and we cleaned out Dan’s ears. I also looked over the YW lesson while Dan gave himself a haircut.
Sept. 24th- Sunday: I woke up when Dan left and tried to get back to sleep. I ate with the 4 younger kids and we watched NASA’s live stream of the sample capsule from a satellite touching down in Utah’s West Desert. McKenna and I planned our YW lesson about caring for the poor and the needy. I showered, McKenna made cookies, and we were on time for church. We had lunch and I prepped fruit. My family call was canceled. Dan and I had a quick nap. We went to Webster Sunday dinner to celebrate September birthdays. Ben did an awesome job folding money for Joe’s gift. I got to tell everyone about the Tabernacle choir test. We got home and got kids to bed. I blogged. McKenna studied. I also took down our Summer "Ta-Da" list! It was fun to look back over the fun things we did!
Sept. 25th- Monday: Dan left to go out of town. I had no subbing assignment. So I worked on picture collages. I did a few office errands, hanging pictures in hallways, and counting out Hero stickers for Veteran’s Day in November. Then they told me to go home early, and come back for the three half days W/Th/F later in the week. I left at 11 and got a car wash before coming home. I had lunch, started laundry, and listened to my book. I napped and blogged. I kept the laundry moving. Kids got home and I took Bethany to rehearsal. I helped Alice do music, then some reading. Anna had gymnastics and I attended LPM with Alice. Dan picked Anna up and made dinner. We all ate and McKenna had rehearsal. We folded laundry, packed lunches, and I let the girls watch a show once they were ready for bed. I folded my own laundry. We had Tru Fru once McKenna got home. I showed the two older kids funny things on Instagram.
Sept. 26th- Tuesday: I got dressed and took the kids to school, and then took McKenna to her orthodontist appointment. She was very glad to find out she only hast to wear her bands at night now. I I took her to school and then came home and went for a run and did arms in the gym. I messed around on my phone and then had lunch and showered. I had to pick up Anna early from school because her stomach hurt. I took a nap and worked on the blog. The kids got home and we worked on homework. I took Ben and Anna to rehearsal and Alice fell asleep on my bed. She was difficult to wake up. She wouldn’t eat and we when it was time for her soccer game, at first, she only wanted to watch. She eventually decided to play but I needed to leave by that time to pick up Ben and Anna. I'm grateful for the Jensens taking some pictures for me since it was her last game! I went to a Relief Society activity and then a young women presidency meeting. *With Dan out of town, the evening was definitely tricky! The kids did OK here at home without Dan. Ben helped me do dishes and garbage when I got home, I talked to Dan and got to bed.
Sept. 27th- Wednesday: I had no subbing assignment. I helped get stuff from the uniform closet for a Jr. High boy. I cut a bunch of things out. I covered an art class for 40mins. I did lunch duty and cut more things out. I also helped with carline at the end of the day. Anna and Bethany had piano. I got Alice started on her stuff and napped a little. Alice and I went to hear McKenna’s choir sing the National Anthem at the volleyball game. They sounded better than last time! I ran to the store with Alice to get some dinner things. Bethany left for rehearsal. I made dinner and had issues with the instant pot cooking the rice. Unfortunately, I was also cooking dinner for a family in the ward who just had a baby (the Daines) so they got not great rice also. Dan got home from his two days in Park City. He took McKenna to rehearsal and Ben to church for his YM activity. For YW, we hiked a little up Wild Rose and then had donuts in the parking lot. We also placed our painted rocks. There were still some pretty Fall colors and we even saw the Layton Temple in the distance. I came home, grabbed some dinner, and took McKenna to her last rec volleyball game. They won with such a good comeback in the third game!!
Sept. 28th- Thursday: I subbed for Ms. Severson and led two reading groups, one of them being Alice's. Then I helped with lunch duty. The day went by fast because it was a half day. We got home and chilled for a bit, then went back to school for the three girls’ parent/teacher conferences. Their teachers all had wonderful things to say about them and they loved playing in each other's classrooms. They also liked seeing if they could fit in their lockers and cubbies. :) We got home and I helped Alice with her homework, then I napped. I took Ben and Anna to Shrek. I made dinner. Dan edged the lawn. McKenna had piano. After dinner, Dan took Ben to get a haircut. I worked on a grocery order and the Nelson News. McKenna went to Adrie’s, then Dan helped her study.
Sept. 30th- Saturday: I got up at 7:45 and ran two miles. I was really liking my new running shoes. We ate, I showered, and we watched the first session of General Conference. In between sessions, we went to Walmart to get pumpkins, then we played at a park in Centerville. We had our muffin tin lunch and listened to the second session. I also worked on putting updated pictures in frames. When the session was done, I napped and Dan worked on the van gear shifter problem. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Webster’s house for dinner and donuts. We also watched the evening session as best we could with all the kids running around. McKenna babysat for Tyler and Chelsie Mudrow, then went to a friend’s house. After the girls did showers, we got them to bed and finished watching "Nacho Libre" with Ben. Dan gave himself a haircut.
