Nov. '23- Week 4- Gentri Concert, Matua for Thanksgiving, Baby Sophie, Decorate for Christmas, Savior of the World, Vocal Assessment

Nov. 22nd- Wednesday: We slept in since it was officially Thanksgiving break for all of us! I ate with the kids and did Come Follow Me. McKenna exercised. I started working on the green bean casserole and my pie for Mantua. Dan did some work and ran to the store. He also made his pie crust (which we didn't end up using). We all had lunch. The kids went to piano, two at a time. I napped and got dressed. I did Ben and Anna’s hair and makeup for their last Shrek show. Dan and McKenna left for the Gentri concert to help check in foster families. I drove Ben and Anna and then we rode downtown with Grandma and Grandpa Webster to the Gentri show. It was so good!  They sounded beautiful and had fun, entertaining personalities.  Alice even sat nicely for the show. We got home around 7pm. We did dishes and finished packing for Mantua. We left around 7:45 and ate pizza and strawberries in the car on the way up.  We arrived and got kids to bed and hung out a little and played 5 Crowns.
Nov. 23rd- Thursday: Thanksgiving Day!  We got up around 8 and ate. We watched the Macy’s Parade some. I showered. Dan and Ben went for a bike ride with Grandpa. I worked on my talk some. We finalized food and ate by 1:30. Everything was delicious! We cleaned up and napped for about two hours. I woke up to the girls helping Grandma decorate for Christmas. We had pie for dinner and leftovers if the kids needed it. We finished our 5 Crowns game. I worked more on my talk and Dan and Ben played Settlers. We enjoyed Sophie baby snuggles all day!  McKenna read a ton!  We got the kids to bed and player Code Names. Anna had a hard time sleeping because of her cough.
Nov. 24th- Friday: Dan woke up in the 4 o’clock hour for no reason.  I woke up around 8. We ate and hung out and played with Sophie. The kids worked on writing their Christmas lists as well. Dan napped. We all packed and got dressed. We had a quick lunch and went to see the new Disney movie “Wish.” It was cute and Bethany had lots of giggles through it all.  We got home to Bountiful around 3:30 and started putting away Thanksgiving decorations and unpacking. We started putting up Christmas decorations!  Anna and Ben didn’t feel good, so they didn’t help much. Ben napped. Anna hung out on the couch. I cleaned the basement even though my stomach didn’t feel great either. We had whatever we could find for dinner around 6. McKenna left at 7 to go to a friend’s house. We finished putting up Christmas and got kids to bed. Alice said her stomach hurt when we tucked her in, around 9:15. One hour later, she barfed and we had to clean her up. Both Dan and I worked on our talks for Sunday. Anna’s cough was still not helping her sleep well either.

Nov. 25th- Saturday: We slept in and ate breakfast together. I picked up groceries. Dan gave Ben and himself haircuts. McKenna worked on her presentation board for most of the day. Dan, Ben, and Grant Enquist, went to the Utes game. I exercised and then had lunch. I also hung the Christmas lights on the outside porch railing. I showered and gave Alice a bath. I left with Dan to go to the “Scrooge” dance performance up in Ogden. UFC has a partnership with Davis Performing Arts Comprehensive to raise money for the Wishing Well. McKenna hung out with friends and Ben babysat our kids. Desi was over too.  I worked on my talk and on texting invites for our cul de sac gathering.

Nov. 26th- Sunday: I woke up at 8:30. I ate with Anna and Alice. I showered and went to hear Dan talk in the 6th ward. We ran home and got the kids and I spoke in our ward. My topic was “Because I Have Been Given Much.” I felt like it went well and got a lot of very nice comments. I had my family call. We had a Nelson family Zoom call about Thinking Celestial. Grandfather and Wendy were able to be on and he said he has no more back pain! He also gave us a sweet blessing at the end. We had dinner and Ben went to orchestra. The rest of us packed lunches and cleaned up. I left for choir.

Nov. 27th- Monday: I subbed in 2nd grade, Ms. Stutes’s class. She has 3 hard boys that tried my patience, but overall, they were a good class.  Dan hosted 9 coworkers at our house for lunch and meetings.  Grandma had to pick up Anna from school due to a bad head ache. After school, I drove Bethany to Backstage. I started dinner, then took Anna to gymnastics and attended Let’s Play Music with Alice.  McKenna had rehearsal. We ate, then folded laundry, and got the girls to bed.  I folded laundry and Ben helped me put paper strips with activities into the doors countdown for Christmas.  Dan stopped by Dave and Laurie’s and then picked up McKenna from Backstage.

Nov. 28th- Tuesday: I went into work and helped out in Ms. A’s class and in SPED as Ms. Norman.  I then helped in the office.  Kindergarten had a visit from Discovery Gateway where they talked about pushing and pulling. When we got home, I took McKenna to Caroline’s. I napped. Ben and Anna had classes at Backstage. I made dinner. Dan hung lights on the front tree. He picked kids up. We ate and then attended Savior of the World with Dan’s parents. We ran into Julie Little Erickson and my friend Ben Cox from BYU days.  The show was wonderful!

Nov. 29- Wednesday: I had the day off! I watched the news. McKenna and Ben had late start and I drove them. I worked on picture collages and blogging. I had lunch. The three girls had early out. Bethany and Anna went to piano. Ben forgot his violin, so I took it to him. Alice did some homework. The girls and I delivered some fliers for our cul de sac party/food drive. I took Bethany to Backstage. McKenna and I had a voice lesson with Jenni to work on O Come, O Come Emmanuel. Dan made dinner. McKenna had rehearsal. We all ate. I took Ben to his family search YM activity. I had a presidency meeting and then the YW went to the temple for baptisms. I picked up McKenna and friends from rehearsal. Dan worked on fliers for our neighborhood luminaries idea!

Nov. 30th- Thursday: I drove the girls to school and Dan took McKenna and Ben to the temple.  I exercised and ate and showered. I napped, worked on a grocery order, and did some more blogging. I ate lunch and finished the order and picked up Jr. High kids. When I was pulling into the garage, the top of the van hit the garage door!  For some reason it looked like it didn’t open all the way. I called a repairman and thankfully they could get someone out very soon! He was able to get it functioning for less than $200!  I took Ben and Anna to Backstage. I finished making dinner and ate with McKenna, Bethany, and Alice. McKenna also had piano. I took Bethany and Alice to gymnastics and picked up Ben and Anna. I got ready for my vocal assessment for the Tab Choir. Dan got home and I left. The assessment went well! It was fun and interesting and I have some things to practice before choir school starts. At the end, Sis. Wilberg said, “Welcome to the Tabernacle Choir,” and I got a little teary! I told Dan all about it. He helped Ben set up a Google email.
