Sept. 2022- Week 3- Foster Care Gala, Dessert night, Subbing Ballroom, Comb, YM/YW Egg drop, Queen Elizabeth Funeral,

Sept. 15th- Thursday: Alice and I had a chill morning. She watched some of Cinderella. We had an Upstart Webinar. We played Candyland and the Trolls game. I worked on grocery shopping and got dressed. After lunch, Parley Cundick came over. He and Alice played great and talked nonstop. I read “Hear Him” and worked on picture collages. We drove carpool, Bethany had dance, and Ben had rehearsal. McKenna had piano, and after dinner, Dan took the A-team to buy birthday gifts for friends.

Sept. 16th- Friday: I exercised after the kids left.  I helped at the elementary school for their first pizza Friday at the new building. It was a little chaotic.  After I had lunch, I read “Hear Him” and made an appt. with a GI specialist for McKenna’s stomach issues. After the kids got home, I showered and got glammed up for Dan’s work Gala! McKenna babysat with Adrie and Megan Hunter. Anna went to a birthday party for Emi Atkin at Coconut Cove.  I rode to the gala with Meghan and Cody Johnson and it was such a pretty venue! We mingled and checked out the items to be auctioned off. I sat by Riley Pack for dinner. They raised SO much money for programs that support children and families of foster care.  I had a good time dancing to the live band after all the prizes were auctioned. Meg and Cody won a trip to Mexico! We had to drive to Provo afterwards to deliver some scooters that were won by Chris Harrison.

Sept. 17th- Saturday: We were able to sleep in till 8 and didn’t get out of bed until 9. We ate and then began cleaning the house. We worked on the kitchen and laundry room, then Dan helped the kids in the basement while I made smaller floral arrangements out of the large one we brought home from the Gala.  I took Anna to gymnastics and picked up groceries. After lunch, Alice went to Audrey Day’s birthday party. I accidentally broke the microwave plate as I was trying to clean it and got a little cut on my finger. Dan, Ben, and McKenna mowed the lawn. I worked on weeding and the girls helped some. Dan worked on straightening out the black floor mat in the van that had puckered a little.  McKenna and Ben both did chores inside like vacuuming and cleaning toilets.  We finished outside around 5:30. We got pizza for dinner and then McKenna had friends over in the basement.  We did baths and put the three girls to bed in our bed temporarily so the teens could be loud in the basement. They also played outside some.  I worked on cleaning the kitchen, laundry room, and mud room bathroom. Then Dan gave Ben a haircut and we watched the Utes football game on TV.

Sept. 18th- Sunday: Church was great! The Pearsons spoke about the importance of prayer and scripture study.  Marci Mortensen spoke about what it means to be a child of God.  The Mitchell’s taught SS about Isaiah.  We had a quick meeting with the YW right after church. After lunch we watched our videos and napped. I had my conference call. Then I made cookies and dinner. Adam came to eat with us and then the Moultons, Cundicks, Yeates, Rowes, and Jensens came over for a dessert night! It was too hot to be outside.

Sept. 19th- Monday: I exercised after the kids left. I watched Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Alice is doing great at her Upstart! She also had Let’s Play Music. I drove her and Meg Hartvigsen home from LPM. I finished listening to Don’t Miss This. After lunch, Alice had preschool and I had physical therapy. I came home and worked on laundry and called Mr. Lee since I would be subbing for him. The kids got home. I snuggled them and read with Boof. I went through some clothes with Alice, then started dinner. Before we ate, the kids packed lunches and folded their laundry. We played outside a little after dinner. McKenna had rehearsal. I picked up her and Brinley and got them courtesy cones. McKenna helped me pick out my outfits for subbing. Dan and I folded and then went to bed.

Sept. 20th- Tuesday: I showered before breakfast. Alice and Dan had a fun day together since I subbed in Ballroom at LPA for Mr. Lee whose wife was having a baby. I had fun watching the ballroom dance team. There were two very small classes where I taught them the Virginia Reel, then we played some games. The 6th grade class was a little more challenging, but still fun doing the same thing as the other classes. I drove my kids only home. I read a little with Boof, then napped some. Ben had James rehearsal and then I worked on finding an audition song for Anna for "Jungle Book". She had gymnastics. The rest of us had dinner, then played outside. After the three girls were in bed, I blogged. Dan and McKenna watched End Game.

Sept. 21st- Wednesday: I subbed again in Mr. Lee’s class. It was so fun to watch the ballroom team rehearse. And I loved the Yoda sticker on Mr. Lee's computer. Dan was able to be home with Alice. She had beach day at preschool. I taught the Virginia Reel again. I caught up on Marco Polos and FaceTimed Dan and Alice during lunch.  After school, Ben, Anna, and Bethany had piano. I napped. I picked up Mia from school again since Dan's parents were out of town. The kids played with friends. I blogged a little and talked with Ben about his book project. Ben had his math P/T conference. Mr. S only had good things to say and said he sometimes uses Ben’s quizzes as his key for grading! I made dinner. McKenna had rehearsal. I went to YW which was a combined building activity— an egg drop. McKenna was able to come late.  McKenna and Ben took goofy selfies. I blogged more once we got home. Then I browned ground beef for teacher meals the next day.
