June 2020- Week 3- Ben to Nate's BD, Beth Upstart Grad, Primary Ice Cream Truck, McK Friends, Swim Lessons, Ensign Peak, Boating, Beth Recital, Father's Day

Monday I exercised and took the kids to swim lessons.  The three older kids played at Alexander's.  I organized and unpacked a few boxes.  Ben went to his friend Nate's "Escape Room" BD party.  Bethany graduated from the Upstart online preschool!  She worked so hard and learned some great reading skills!  We went to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner since we found out the Bountiful location is closing. :( The kids played outside and Brittana came over to watch Harry Potter #5 with McKenna.  Dan and I watched more "Last Man."
Tuesday I went walking with Dan.  Kids went to swim lessons.  After lunch our Primary Presidency came by with free ice cream!
McKenna had 4 friends come over to hang out since Olivia was still here from Indiana.
Ben had fun playing with Henry and Tanner in the recycling bin and going through the tube that goes under Davis Blvd.  Alice also LOVES playing with baby Emmy next door.  Everyone was home by 4:30 and after dinner Bethany and Alice tried on Bethany's dance costume and practiced her routine.  McKenna lost a molar! Dan and I watched "Last Man."
Wednesday I exercised and took Anna to dance and the other two kids to swim lessons. It was pretty chilly outside, but the pool was nice and warm.  Ben played at Grace Whitchurch's.  The kids had piano lessons and I went to my thyroid follow-up appointment and everything looked normal and the same as years past.  After dinner, the kids worked on Father's Day stuff and had baths.  I did a grocery order and Dan had bishop stuff.

Thursday McKenna had voice lessons and the kids had their last day of swim lesson so I took a bunch of videos and pictures.  I'm so proud of their progress!  Anna is just about ready for the deep end and Ben's technique and diving improved a ton!  After the lessons we ate lunch in the car and hiked Ensign Peak with some cousins.
After the hike we ran some errands and Dan mowed the lawn when we got home.  I weeded and listened to my book.  After dinner and kids were in bed, I edited pictures on my phone and Dan and I watched "Last Man."

Friday I exercised and after breakfast we left for Mantua.  Dan had a work call and I listened to my book on the drive.  We ate lunch as soon as we got there went swimming!  I had Alice take a nap on me that afternoon and we had a BBQ dinner.  The menfolk tried to get water pumping down the water slide, but nothing worked.  We stayed up late playing the golf card game and the "song challenge"  I feel like the first night at Mantua is always such a rough night!  McKenna had a hard time sleeping, Alice was in bed with us almost all night, and we got too hot and had to open a window at 3 am.
Saturday Dan and the older two went on a bike ride with Grandpa. I fed the other kids and packed our lunch and we went out on the boat on Mantua Res.  We did tubing and surfing and had a great time!
We left Mantua around 3:30 so we could do showers and baths and get Bethany ready for her dance recital!  Every dancer got the "red carpet" experience and performed by themselves.  She danced to a song called "Recipe" and smiled so big!  Her professional pictures turned out so cute!

Sunday was Father's Day!  Dan still had some meetings and we also spent a good deal of the day prepping to host all the Websters for Sunday dinner.  We made sure to call my dad as well.
The kids all made cure cards for Dan and he got some clothes and the traditional office calendar I made for him!

At Webster family dinner, we also celebrated our June BDs. It did my heart good to see our couch packed with as many as could fit!  We also spent some time showing videos from our phones of fun things ourselves or our kids had done recently.  Later, I walked around the yard with Laurie to get some landscaping help/advice.  Once everyone left, Dan and I spent a good amount of time cleaning up of the basement and the kitchen then chilled outside.  I'm so grateful for Dan's righteous fathering to our children and for my own dad and father-in-law who are amazing grandpas to our kids!

June 2020- Week 2- Start Swim Lessons, Ben Filming "Annie", Deuel Creek Hike, Anna Dance Comp.

Monday I exercised and after 1 month of not running my foot was ok, but still not all the way better. It was supposed to be the kids' first day of swim lessons, but it was chilly and rainy, so it was cancelled!  Ben also had his first rehearsal for his play "Annie!"  We did laundry, homework, piano, and the kids built a fort.  After dinner we watched Relative Race and I worked on Dan's calendar.
Cuteness from Alice.
Tuesday after breakfast I packed a lunch and took the middle three for swim lessons at the Kofoed's.  They all did great!  McKenna stayed home with Alice and we picked them up to go hiking with cousins afterwards.  We hiked Deuel Creek in Centerville and I carried Alice and was pretty proud of myself and so happy the weather was cool!  We made it all the way to the rope swing and we had a blast.  We grabbed an ice cream cone for each kid and then headed home.  After dinner the kids played outside and I caught up on Marco Polos.  I also worked on taking pictures of all the kids' school work for our digital memories.
When we got home from the hike, Anna was riding her bike and wiped out and landed hard on her cheek.  It was a nice bruise, but thankfully no scrapes! McKenna finished her craft Grandma Kelly brought on Sunday.
Wednesday I exercised and took the kids to swim lessons.  We had school lunch and I put up our patriotic decorations.  The kids had piano and Anna had dance.  Ben played at Henry's.  Dan loaded up DI stuff in the trailer and started organizing the craft stuff in the office.  After dinner, I shaved Ben's head bald bald with a razor for his role as Daddy Warbucks!  He already had a very short buzz cut, but he wanted to go all the way!   (Funny selfies from McKenna and Bethany.) He and Dan are twins now!  Dan went and hit a bucket of balls Brigham Hollingshaus.  After kids were in bed I worked more on Dan's calendar.
Thursday morning I went walking with Dan.  McKenna had a voice lesson over Zoom since she had a little cold.  I took the kids to swim lessons and then took Ben to school to film "Annie."  After lunch, I went back to the school to watch and help the filming.  The cast was there for about 4 hours and they worked SO hard to get a couple takes of each scene!  I was super impressed with their discipline!  Dan finished installing Ben's ceiling fan.  I had a relief society Zoom meeting that night discussing Elder Renlund's conference talk.  After kids were in bed, we started watching "Into the Woods" with McKenna.
Friday I exercised and Dan took the kids to swim lessons.  I worked on a grocery order.  After lunch I took Ben and Bethany to shop for BD gifts for friends.  I had my weekly call with Jonathan and Dan and I went on a Date to R&R and grocery pick up and Hokulia.  We watched more "Into the Woods" and after kids were in bed, Dan and I started watching a new (to us) series on Hulu called "Last Man on Earth."  It is so funny!

Saturday Dan took the older three kids biking out on Legacy.  They had a headwind on the way back and it was a great life lesson to the kids about pushing through when things get hard! I left with Anna for a dance competition in Provo.  They had to reschedule all of their competitions and do things quite differently, but I totally cried watching her perform!  Cousin Lola had sprained her wrist the night before and was a trooper competing while in pain.  When we got home, we loaded everyone up in the car and drove to Layton to meet my dad at a car show, which we later found out was unfortunately cancelled.  Instead, we played at a park and had tacos and watcher "Peter Rabbit" at their house.  After kids were in bed, Dan and I went to the Alexander's for a game night with them and the Rowe's.
Sunday after breakfast I tidied up the laundry room and bathroom then got ready for church.  I taught about Alma and Amulek and their friendship.  Dan taught the "Parable of the Headwind."  :) We watched Relative Race and Dan went to two baby blessings, the Birkholz and the Days.  After dinner, we hosted a dessert night with the Moultons and Mace family.  It was great to chat and visit with neighbors.

June 2020- Week 1- Ben Class Party, Slip N Slide, Thyroid Check, Bethany Shots, Swimming at Winegar's, Brynn's BD,

Monday I exercised and Dan donated blood at the Vivint Arena.  Bethany had her Kindergarten shots appointment that morning too.  She was brave but still cried.  I also had my Thyroid blood work done.  Ben and Anna went to the Alexander's and Brittana came over and made no bake cookies and then she and McKenna went and delivered them to some neighbors.
Tuesday I got going early on the weeding and Ben helped spray round-up.  Everyone did school work after breakfast and I finished weeding.  Ben had a final class party with an auction.  I got a video of Alice singing along to Zombie songs on the "Alexa."  I played catch with the velcro ball on the porch with McKenna, then we got out our slip n slides and had otter pops.  Lia Traeden and Grace Whitchurch came over too.  After dinner, we delivered no bake cookies to Jenny and her boyfriend Tyler who moved into our old house, they she gave us a tour.  I took a picture of the update she made to the patio room and it was amazing!  She was so welcoming and kind to show us around what she had done to the house.  Dan had other Bishop stuff that evening.
Wednesday I exercised and Olivia Stock was in town from Indiana and came over for a visit.  I made phone calls and emails.  The kids had piano after lunch.  We went back to in-person lessons and Anna officially started with Marilee.  Anna had a runny nose and stayed home from dance as a precaution.  I worked on Dan's Father's Day gift.  Dan bought balloons for Brynn's BD the next day.  McKenna had an outdoor YW activity and Dan had late bishop stuff.

Thursday I got up bright and early to go walking around the golf course with Brynn for her 40th birthday!  All of us sisters were there except Lara, and we ate bagels and fruit at North Canyon Park.  McKenna had voice lessons and we ran a couple errands.  Then we packed a lunch and went swimming at the Winegar's.  I left in the middle to have my Thyroid ultrasound.  We got home around 4:30 and Alice napped on the floor.  After dinner, we had ice cream and games at the Pugsley's.  It was so fun to chat and hold their baby Gilbert.
Friday Bethany had dance in person to practice for her recital.  I went through Anna's clothes and she was excited about this dress!  After lunch we watched a Zoom meeting from Backstage announcing their Fall line-up.  McKenna had me take a picture of her $100 bill from Grandma and Grandpa last year before she spent it.

That evening, I took McKenna clothes shopping and to Charley Alexander's play, Seussical the Musical.  Dan got pizza and watcher "Spiderverse" with the other kids.
Saturday we had lots of wind.  I exercised and Dan and I went to Lowe's to look at ceiling fans since Ben's room needed one.  Dan worked on moving the fan from the master bedroom to Ben's room, and we got a new fan in the master.  Ben went to Henry Alexander's BD party.  That night McKenna and Mickelle babysat while Dan and I went to Layton for an adult dinner and games for Dan's mom's birthday!  It was so fun to be with everyone!  There was a big rain storm that night too.  When we got home, we played with Sadie and talked with Mickelle on the porch for a while.
Sunday was fast Sunday.  I got a lovely picture of Alice sucking on her toes and Anna talking for Olaf right before home church started.  So reverent.  ;)  I made empanadas for dinner with my family!  They turned out so good.  Sadie spent the evening tied up in the laundry room all evening and Alice was a little scared at first.  She gave grandpa Mike some good snuggles and my mom brought a patriotic craft.  We had a good discussion about racism with my parents.
